This must be similar to an oxy-moron because believe is predicated by non, so consequentially a believer may believe but a non-believer by virtue of the non equates into not believing therefore by the power of logic we can deduce non believers believe nothing there fore they are dead! So sancho you from North Oxy?
I personally am an Agnostic. For those here who don't understand what that means... It simply means that I do not believe nor do I disbelieve. I don't know either way. Believers and non-believers are 2 sides of the same coin. Both are sure they are correct without any real proof. Both are based on faith. At least that's my opinion based on years of hearing both sides argue their irrational points of view trying ti convince me they are right. :-) It kind of reminds me of the superstitious belief that if you die in your dream then you die in real life. LOL
Sancho........stop analysing!!!
What does it matter?
Spend a little time reading, researching, and maybe..........just maybe, the pointless questions will cease.
Sancho, nobody can tell you what this or that girl believes in, unless you ask her personally!!! :) We don't have a magic crystal to predict anything:) Just try it, it's interesting and exciting to discuss things with the person you're interested at:)
OK this forum is for discussion...but how can we speak about personal things about other people? And religion is a personal matter to my mind:)
and the point I am making sancho is IT DOESN'T MATTER!!
I am not making....or even asking you to change you view,if it helps I will change my statement from Live and let Live....to everyone to their own....Happy now?
Ptichka, re.:
" Sancho, nobody can tell you what this or that girl believes in, unless you ask her personally!!! :"
As usual you get right to the core of the problem.
However, if a Profile says "Christian", "Roman Catholic", "Orthodox", "Islam", it gives some indication (after all, they are all based on written documentation.)
What you are saying is that a few generations of government hostility towards the Church (any church) has created a group of 'Non-believers', the value systems of whom can be 'anything'...
??
Actually I think that Live and let Live is better, then everybody on their own...:)
Yes some people think it's important to find the person of the same religion. But as for me, it doesn't matter. I saw many girls marrying with Muslim men and turning into their religion...they changed their views on religion, their beliefs to those their husbands have. And they follow all the rules!! No matter how hot it is here you will see them wearing closed shirts and long skirts, mostly black...
Oh, you are destroying my well organised 'system' now, when you tell me that a man can get a girl to change her Religion!
Now I can read all the Profiles again, disregarding the 'Religion' field.
:)
And, 'Live and let Live', by the way, does not apply to any of the 'book religions' mentioned above!
But I believe that the 'official' Church where gladiatorUK lives (and where the Head of State is also the head of the Church) takes a relatively relaxed view on religion these days...
Sancho,
What a few were saying is if the girls profile says she is Eastern Orthodox and you would like to know what her values and beliefs are, write her a letter and ask her. No one can speak for her but she can speak for herself. It is hard to embrace an antagonist, sort of like a fly in your soup or sand on your ham sandwich, or a continual pain in the butt on the forum. Will we need to get a tube of Preparation H to soothe the effects from our favorite hemorrhoid?
