I don't promote anything or anybody. I say that there are different people here, good, bad, impossible to communicate with, kind and greedy, looking for love, and looking for money and so on. People are different:)
I don't know if Lugansk is a bluestocking or not:) Never thought about this city in such a way:)
I just was born here, and I like the city, though I admit that there are bad people here as well. I don't hide anything:)
Wess, maybe you're right...but she is sometimes so hard to talk with...she says she knows everything, she says she has a good memory and at the same time she is very easy to lie about different things...if she will live up to 100 I will be only glad:)
I know an old maid who spins for a living, she's married to her cat and she exclusively wears black stockings.
No, I think you're confused with 'Red Herring' - clearly unmarried because they're always looking for men, wearing any colour under red light, and there's obviously something fishy going on ;-)
Actually I didnt knew bluestocking means old maid.
But Im worried what pticka said about her friend who was married 30 years older man, and everybody are so happy. Im 42, if I marry man whos 72, maybe she can recommend what I will do with him?
don't play blonde now, you're supposed to marry a boy of 12. Such would give you the chance to teach him the finer details of what you want to do with him.
But now seriously - that old maid bit made you scared eh? ;-)
Youngest FSU woman I dated (spent a week with her) was 27 years younger than I am. My Moldovans - one of whom I have spent four weeks with, are a much more reasonable.... 23 years younger than I am.
I have an uncle in England who had an English wife 30 years younger than him. Their marriage lasted until he died. She danced for the Royal Ballet and he was a captain in the Army. They had a child of their own, who doesn't have any hangups about the age of her father.
His last couple of years were not much fun for her but overall my aunt felt it was a good marriage.
Let's face it, a younger husband could be injured in an accident, develop stress and psychological problems and any number of scenarios.
If young women from poorer countries marry older men, for economic reasons, it's a contract and I am sure many are thankful to be removed from their difficult situation to a position of security. It's simply a contract. I listened to an African lady being interviewd on the BBC World Service who laughed at the idea of just marrying for love. Where she comes from it is perfectly normal and acceptable for a man to have many wives. (If he can afford them)
Shakespeare got it right. 'There is no good or bad, only thinking makes it so.'
If you think it is bad, it's bad (to you). If you think it is good, it's good. QC
QC - to be honest when first hooking up with one of the Moldovans - I thought it was crazy (I remind you 23 years difference). And realiatically I would say that economic considerations probably played a part from her side. After all - she is gorgeous even by Moldovan standards. But we have had so much fun together. It hasn't been perfect by any means - she loves going shopping more than anything - but that puts her in the same category as a whole lot of western girls. But she is pretty special and I am thinking of doing the fiance visa thing. She is the lone factor that might make me decide to forego another round of the Socials.
Incidently - I stand by my statements about Latvia - haven't yet been to the Baltic states of Lithuania and Estonia - but I will try any other FSU country before returning to Latvia.
Yeah, I was there. Riga is a beautiful city and every woman is so pretty. I didn't see any fat or ugly women in Old Town in my entire trip. I went to one of the parties Mystic Cafe had. It was great. so many cute girls and pretty women and I was just one of only 7 guys. I, along with other guys, were like stars of the party. we got so much attention from every woman there. I talked to everybody and got so many phone numbers. I went out at least 5 of the best looking girls and I still keep in contact with them. Out of 5, two girls came to visit me in LA last summer and fall. They got 10 year tourist visa. Russian girls I met in Russia or Ukraine never got any kind of visas in the past and I tired to bring at least 4 of them in the past. I gave up. I didn't want to apply a fiance visa for just dating them.
Mystic Cafe in Old Town Riga is the best bet if you have onlyh a week or so to go there. I also went to 3 other local or British based agencies there but they wre just another scam and the girls with those agencies were pros. I had big fights with all of them. They should be out of business. I found out that most of those girls from other agencies were out cast or rejects of Mystic Cafe. When you go to Mystic Cafe, make sure to ask an agent name Vita about the girls you want to go out. She would tell you if if they are nice, normal or avoid.
Going to Riga saved me so much money and trouble. I would never go back to russia or Ukraine. Those countries are a bunch of scams. Girls there only want to get out or wants money and that's all. They are like prostitutes and they don't want to admit. Cheaper to go to Vegas and buy pretty girls there.
I will go back to Mystic Cafe for the after-Valetine's-Day party to meet some new, lonely, pretty Eastern European girls again. It will be great for this spring and summer in LA.
Just wondering when you WENT to this party atthe Mystic Cafe.
Because I went to the Fall Party last September (2004) and it was a COMPLETE disappointment. As you mention there was only about seven guys there and a room full of women but they herded us into a small room (evidently the computer room - they had taken the computers out for the night) gave us stupid little snack and none of the girls seemed the least bit interested in meeting anyone.
At a Social in Ukraine - it was effortless - but here I felt like I was going after any girl at a regular singles bar. When I started talking to one (agains a very uncomfortable experience) she excused herself to get a cigarette - later she seemes annoyed that I had not followed her out.
I talked to another who turned out to be much older than she appeared - she gave me her phone number and I thanked her for it. Then, as the evening was still young, I spoke to another, after all that is what one is supposed to do in these situations - you don't travel halfways around the world and spend thousands to talk to a single girl - the girst girl blew up at ME AND the other girl - saying something in Russian that I did not understand.
They played old Beetles music and it was the most boring night I have ever had in FSU.
I think two of the guys actually left with someone. One guy left with a group of girls - though it was clear that he was just tagging along (trust me). I wandered to Old Town where I met another guy who was just as dissapointed as i was and we went to watch some dancers.
Don't know what happened at YOUR party but mine was an absolute BUST.
You wouldn't happen to be connected to the Mystic Cafe in any way would you? The reason I ask is that I recently got an email promoting that Valentines Party - and I know the push is on. Besides that your description of their "party" is so much more glowing than it warrants. EVERYBODY complained of feeling like they were cramped into a phonebooth.
