Just checked a Ukraine Embassy site and here's what it says..
No visas are required for citizens of Romania, Hungary, Poland, Mongolia, Serbia, Lithuania and Montenegro, and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (Russia is a member of the CIS).
No need for a letter of invitation, for myself, either. Good.
Hmm.. Might I be joining some of the others in Kiev next month? QC
QT - I'm sure that Ukraine is less expensive than Moscow or St. Petersburg - but I'm not sure that the Visa is less expensive or any easier to obtain.
One of the nicest things about Moldova (and yes, other than the women of Moldova being the only women in the world who are actually more beautiful than Ukrainians, there are a few other nice things) is the fact that you can get a 90 day visa at the airport after you fly in.
Hmmm... This post seems to be drenched with something - could it be dripping sarcasm?
If I recall correctly, most of the countries that you have visited (including the Baltic States) did not need visas. And you do seem to be pondering the visa requirements above, including your not needing a letter of invitiation for yourself.
I will try to restrain myself from answering your (now) obviously rhetorical questions in the future.
guys,
obtaining a ukrainian visa is as simple as pie. and it only takes a few business days depending on how much you want to save or spend . the sooner it is, more money. all you have to do is send your passport and money order fed-ex with the return service, to olna,inc.www.russia-visa.com or ukraine-visa.com toll free 1-800-567-4175.They fill out everything for you. you do nothing at all. referred to me by fiance.com they are from washinton ,d.c. how convenient. They probably have the inside connection. guarenteed fast service and no screw ups. Better off purchasing a double entry for a few dollars more also.
