My roving eye regularly discovers that beautiful women with good educations and wonderful characteristics (according to their profiles) still have their profiles on one or more sites - sometimes for months or years.
(and some sites let them update their profiles, so they are apparently still active).
My devious mind asks: "Why?", "What's going on here?"
Now, I am not he only one here in this forum with a devious mind (actually, I am only an amateur compared to some).
What's going on?
You must mean "MISS WOW" Oliga from Chisinau. She only has a mere as of now 1,988 letters sent to her to date. This is what you call a professional dater who is making a career out of it. Ain`t no one gonna tell me otherwise. Once in a while i send her a letter and i write to her that i am only sending this letter to you because i want you to keep up your statistics and MISS WOW status . She gets jerked off and always threatens to turn me in to Fiance !!! LOL
Kinda makes you wonder. The 1988 does not mean she has had 1988 different men write, but would it be fair to say that she has found hundreds of men to be unsuitable? And is this realistic? Another long-time Miss Wow became angry with me because I was "keeping track" on how many letters she had. I was only curious to know ( and I think rightly so ) how many potentiates were in correspondence (line ) with her ,and how I figured into her scenario, after writing 30 or so letters, and receiving intimate information . I have to admit that she proved to me that some FSU women are just as much selfish ,self satisfying bitches as you will find here in the U.S., or anywhere. I will never try to pigeonhole behavioral "flaws" if you will, to one ethnicity. She is still there on the Miss Wow, and she and the young platinum sweetie Miss Wow are just as different physically and mentally as night and day. I have found that less mystery is better--women who have a hidden agenda or clandestine correspondences which they will not honestly concur to are players. They might not ask for money, but they juggle many possible suitors as if they are suckers on a stringer, waiting for the "word up" on which one of them wins the lottery. Then they simply disappear like a puff of ( blue) smoke....or show their "outrage" when you get too close to their truth.
How do they pick their Miss Wows anyway? Many of them are just good average (if that) relative to the rest of the website. If it's whoever gets the most emails, then the system is highly circular since being Miss Wow will get you a lot more email.
Not neccesarily. Miss Wow is selected upon how much mail they recieve within a period of time.
I can tell you that some of them are their becuase of mass mailings on their part. 100 "I'm not interested" replies are messages to them, all the same.
I was not (mainly) talking about this site, either.
Some other sites allow the women to 'move up' by editing their profiles. And some women simply submit new profiles from time to time (with slightly different names).
It seems that some women with very attractive photos and profiles have been advertising for a long time.
maybe its beccause what they are looking for is not looking here. Some girls are realy pretty but if you read there profiles and what they say about themselves, its hardly insiring. But good on them for being truthful. Another fact is that I am sure there are more girls advertised in total, not just on this site, then there are men looking. They will not all find a man, and somtimes its the pretty ones who miss the boat, not always the plain ones. For totaly obvious reasons
I was communicating with a lady from Khabarovsk in 1999. We hit it off well, and after many letters and calls were becoming serious. At the time, I was building log homes. Well,I built my own home too,and it was a basic cabin kit. Milled logs,pre-notched with Swedish style coped bottoms. It was a cute home-12 by 24 feet in dimension,2 story with a huge bedroom loft, and an 8 foot porch. The lower level was one large room for living and kitchen, and a small bathroom with shower. The kit cost me 12,000 dollars ( from my boss at no profit to him) I loved it,and miss it. It is in the countryside in western Montana. I took many photos of it- I had lag-screwed and plumbed logs, framed walls, sheetrocked, tiled, and steel roofed. I did not do the electricity-but of course I did the plumbing. I sent these photos to the lady in Khabarovsk, and our relations took a dive. She said,"do you expect me to live in and raise a family in this house?" And said she did not believe in "paradise in a tent." Needless to say I was crushed and very offended too. No longer could I contact her on the phone, and she sent me an e-mail Dear Blaine, you are a nice and very charming man,but I never realized you were so poorly. Yeah-some of these girls are no different from American women-I hate to admit it,and do not want to burst any illusory bubbles. But again I hint at the dangers of generalization and stereotyping-
Spirit,
From all the intelligence i have gathered from my own personal experiences from this whole FSU mirage is this. You cannot bring a woman from a hustle and bustle cosmopolitan city where she grew up and bring her to the country . No way no how. Brother , you got to head out to the bush. Unless you live in NYC or L.A, she might acclamate . My friend in Kyiv reminds me of their unreal expectations of American life here. They also have their share of the good the bad and the ugly also.
Define Please? Even though Mariupol is about 40 times larger than where I live, not really much there. It's definately not Kiev. I think that may be more of an Issue. If the bush is outside Kiev Okay. Kiev was interesting, but I found it very much west leaning in prices for everything. The pace between Kiev and Mariupol was quite a bit different. Mariupol was more laid back than Kiev. Prices in restaurants were about 1/3 that of Kiev. Entertainment was minimal. Very much what you would call a blue collar community in the states. Larissa and I did the theatre and the cinema in Mariupol for far less than it cost in Kiev. Kiev is interesting but you won't find many deals there.
Mike,
I am talking about the everyday life of being in a big city like Kyiv, moscow, St.Pete and then coming to a rural community or even a small town in USA. That is a very big and hard adjustment. I am not talking prices. For example , an immigration attorney i have talked to with said his ukrainian wife had to get the hell out of champagne , illinois because she couldnt handle the fact that every one stays inside or they live out of their cars. No one is outside enjoying their town on foot, no cafes etc. . She didnt like the abrupt change. Oksana took me to the bush outside of Kyiv to visit her mom. Way outside. I will tell you what, it ain`t pretty. In fact , it is decrepid and very run down . I just dont think a women from a large city as the three i mentioned is going to settle well in a borough or closed up mill town.
Jeff I knew you weren't talking about prices, there is a distinct difference between Kiev and the larger cities in Ukraine. Larissa doesn't consider Mariupol a large city,(500,000) because there isn't much to do there. Many areas of Mariupol were run down. This was a concern for me with her coming here, it doesn't bother her now she is learning to drive and knows where I live is pretty much crime free. She has explained to me that the Donbass, or Donestk region of Ukraine is pretty criminal. I saw more cops in Mariupol than I did in Kiev. Mariupol reminds me very much of a run down steel town. Hell you can enjoy Madison on foot, you just have to drive from my house which is about 7 miles out of town. As much as that girl walks in a day, 7 miles is just a warm up for her LOL!! Hell I would have moved from Champagne Il, also, its nothing but a farm town with a college!!
I think any displacement is difficult and will depend on the lady, we will see on my end. She says she is looking forward to a quiet country life with clean air and the like. My lucky advantage is I have three large cities within one hours drive of my house so she can get all the entertainment and culture she needs and of course shopping!
Mike,
I am sure she will do fine. I think every man on this sight should try to take at least one field trip when they are in the FSU away from the designated route of airport to hotel or apartment, the glitz of the city , the babes and then back to the airport. They or he should go one time away from all that to see the real hard side of the FSU. Talk about run down? Things are beyond rundown. It is below poverty level. Those crumbling post WWII apartment buildings smelling of cat urine , busted windows , no lighting in elevators or the entrance . no such things as public restrooms. The most stinky smelly buses i have ever been on. The residential homes are barely standing up. Oksana said you really want to see the real Ukraine ?Okay,I will show it to you. Now i know why they all want to come to the city as she said they all do. It is worse i feel than any poor appalachian community. But in the midst of all this crumbling remains in the "bush" as i call it the women never let their appearence fall to shit. They come walking out of the ruins looking like runway models. It is amazing . Oksana said it is all that they have, is to look pretty and they do a fine job of it. You`ve been there Mike.
Yes I have, when I got to Larissa's flat the first time, the first thing she said to me, are you shocked. I said no, I've passed out in worse places in the barrio in the Phillipines. Yes you do have to get away. It is so typical communist propoganda like. We will show you the showplace, but you won't see the reality. Yes the reality is difficult and that is why they want to look beautiful. It is their own way to feel good. The amazing thing that I admire about Larissa is she is educated, works everyday, has virtually nothing and is a happy person. She told me, why not, this is all I've ever known. I choose to be happy she said. Now put an american woman in that situation and tell me what would happen. Bitch, bitch, bitch!!
Yeah you should take the side roads in Ukraine to see the reality of it all. Where Larissa lives reminds me very much of Cabrini Green or the Robert Taylor homes in Chicago. Not only do I love that little girl very much, I admire her!!!
Good luck Nas. You are a definite good guy. No doubt in my mind. All the best to you and Larissa. I know I am a goofball but I really mean it.
Marina takes a similar viewpoint but she is constantly exhausted by the pressure. I must admit I have not helped that but it had to be done. I hope I have the same good fortune you have had. I will find out in July. Only 51 days to go but who is counting.
Thanks, I'm more lucky than good. Lucky that I found her, and she brought out the good in me. Be yourself Izi and the best will happen for you and Marina. Take a positive look, you're going back, evidently there is something there. We can either look at the glass as half full or half empty it is our choice. I think the best is yet to come for you my friend!!
