Are FSU women the traditionalists western men sterotype them to be? Or is this something which comes from "down on the farm",or rural areas where people might connect more closely to long -held family ideas of morality and virtuosity? I notice many women wearing the daring and sexy clothes which remind me of America`s own sexual awakening in the 60s. I have not been in FSU,so this is a valid question for me also,as it is a painting,if you will,of another social culture. If there is no difference in attitudes toward sex--if these women are uninhibited and liberal like no other, then it is a good question. "No dumb question was ever not asked".
geri-for a serious answer. It seems to me, with the girls I have met, and I have met a few but am by no means an expert (as they are still women) that lots of girls do not just root around over there. They may have sex quickly if they realy feel they like you. But generaly, here is the rule. they are individula women, as individual as they are in usa, aus etc. some do, some do not. You have to work out what kind you are talking to. But who knows for sure. I feel mine is a good girl. But I just have to trust her for now
"...that lots of girls do not just root around over there. ...."
Totally irrelevant of course...
I have noticed that you live in a country where there is an animal, the habits of which can be used to emphasise the importance of puntuation in sentences. (Whether or not there should be a comma...)
Remember above all else - THEY ARE WOMEN - therefore even the SMARTEST among us men will NEVER entirely figure them out.
Regarding the sex issue - they are just as individual as western women are. And they are just as curious about western sexual habits.
Example: The first Russian woman I dated was in the US.
She lived three hours from my home - so dating her was not a spurious thing and occured just once per week.
On the first date - she would not even kiss me. Nor let me kiss her. And I wondered.
On the second date - she allowed me to kiss her on the cheek, goodnight. Just once. And I gave serious consideration to ending it right then and there.
On the third date - she came and spent the weekend with me at my place and....well I'll let you imagine. :)))))))
Later when I admitted that I almost gave up on her after two dates - she looked confused and told me that she had only been playing by the rules. She had a copy of Cosmopolitan (American version - totally different in content from Russian version) and put these rules together based on two articals.
NO ANYTHING for two dates - than anything goes on the third. She seriously beleived that ALL women in this country used those same rules.
My point is that she had as much trouble figuring out what was typical here as we do over there.
I wiah that WAS the steadfast rule, by the way, for American women. I would have learned long ago to do those quick "lunch dates" for the first two anyway. To get them out of the way and set up the BIG THIRD DATE.
ID - My friend Izi created the "new forum" if you want to call it that. Its a place where real friends, not just strangers can get together and talk about anything. Not having to think about the whole world disecting our personal lives and what not.
There is no mysterious cloud or persona about Russian women, Geri. I only say that because your other riddles seem to suggest that. These ladies are as broad and individual as you and I. Each one has a different personality and values than the next. One may wait for her one and only and the next might be a nymphomaniac. You never know. They are human just like the rest of us. I wonder Geri, have you ever been to Russia, because by your questions I have read it seems to me you never have.
If I was Geri I wouldn't worry about someones grammar. I would worry about how to find my way to the ticket counter at the airport and give up on spending the countless hours he does to look up womens profiles and analyze what the cryptic code is inside each sentence. Trying to decipher what someone is saying in English when their natural language is some other is a futile exercise at best.
Way back when - people would discuss openly their experiences in THIS forum. Then there was a... "reign of terror" as it was, where everything those being honest in their reporting said was torn to pieces - by hostile parties.
You will find very little written here anymore about what we have specifically gone through, mistakes we have made, admission of error, and less than perfect judgement.
When people get crucified by third parties with other agendas they tend to share less.
You'll note that my story above contains nearly nothing very specific and very little that I could be hung-up-to-dry for. I wrote it carefully for that reason. I would be MUCH more willing to give details like that (if there WERE any) in izi's forum as nas mentions.
This forum is still great. Don't get me wrong. But until people feel free to share things again, it won't be like it was.
