Hello again for all you old farts that been here forever who might remember me still, its been a long, long time.
Just want to tell a little about my girl, I met her first 2 years ago here in Virginia, she was here for a college travel and work program, she was a russian a girl as you could find, hated cold tea, American food gross, really odd since of clothing style. Well, we broke up and she went back to russia swearing never to come back, well, she came back, of course, how can you come from this back to ..."that" well she went to Myrtle Beach this time, and dated off and on, and while we kept in touch it was scarce, well, some how, for some reason, we just fell in love again,...well, for the first time actually, and i went to see her.
She is 100% American now, shops to releive stress, foul mouth,..I'm a sailor so that part is cool with me, eats hot pockets religiously, blonde hair with dark high lights, must have name brand stuff,,, kind of surprising but wow, it took less than a year to Americanize this girl, ..
I guess what I am saying is that you guys will marry a russian...but sooner or later your russian will turn American on you, not a bad thing at all, because along with that comes her understanding of American culture so the mis understanding go away, you dont have to worry about offending her anymore, I like it well, have to run.
About 50 years later, the kids of of the kids of Bastard Kid and the Russian blond will say," Our grandma could never be an American as much as she tried..."
It was six years ago that I met the first Russian girl that started my interest in this entire thing. We was actually from Lithuania, but very ethnically Russian. She had only been in the US for ten months, on a visitors visa and was the sweetest, most unpretentious, unassuming and most beautiful woman I had ever dated at the time. And she was 15 years my junior.
When things eventually ended, I tried to find someone like her in this country and was, of course, unsuccessful. I have since been to Eastern Europe, six times. (Details are developing as we speak so I choose not to comment on what is going on regarding that.)
But not long ago I had a chance to see the girl that started this whole thing - the Lithuanian - again.
EVERYTHING has to be a brand name, she follows EVERY American fad to extremes (yoga, green tea, Reiki, new age... etc.). Americans are uncultured scum according to her, yet she is still here, somehow. No longer dates older men. She and her much younger boyfriend bought a house, which was quickly foreclosed on when her ridiculous spending caused them not to be able to make the mortgage payments.
Six years has turned her from the dear sweet girl I was completely taken by into something else entirely. It can happen.
First line should be "SHE was actually from Lithuania", not "We was actually from Lithuania". I am not from Lithuania nor have I even ever been to Lithuania.
You will be ok Ben, my wife has been in the uk 2 years now, and she has not turned American:-) joking aside, she is still the same lovely girl I met in Moldova.
cool, i was worried she'd start eating hotdogs and donuts. Shes also from Moldova. Good to hear tradman i read you posts ages ago, so good to hear things are going well for you.
There you heard it, Jetmba confirmed it!!! Hi by the way long time no see, personally I have no problem with it, her nature has always been a bad girl but now that she is americanized it shows. When she first came here and we dated she wanted nothing more than to go back to Russia...she did, ...haha, and I guess she when she got back...looked around she was like "Damn" this sucks, and here she is, drinking yes green tea, wearing name brand, just bought a nice car, which is she has been in two accidents in the last two weeks. Both not her fault but still!!! She ate her first hamburger after being here for a year and a half a month ago,....and liked it but I have no worries, that girl has room for a extra few pounds, skinny, sexy but definitly no problem of getting fat. And after she probably didnt eat for three days anyway. She still likes her skirts, but she wears jeans half the time. And I met all her guy friends who came to America two who refuse to go back to Russia....American all of them!!! ;-) And you know what??? I think its fucking awsome, the greatest country in the world, the greatest culture, who does want to be like us??? Brit's cool too, always considering living there for a few years, just proud, I am military after all.
