I KNOW that, based on the title of this thread, the question sounds more interesting than it is - that's why 26 people have already read my post in a relatively short period of time.
But what I am really asking about is the website www.myluckylover.com
(But, for the record, all my lovers ARE damn lucky that they get to be with ME :)
jet,
'Given the gender specification refered to in the title of this forum that should be obvious.'
Not obvious to me.
'My Lucky Lover' could have been written to describe any gender, unless some one knew for sure you were straight
as an arrow as opposed to a 'curved' arrow
"Given the gender specification refered to in the title of this forum that should be obvious."
Note the tenth and eleventh words in that sentence (I know thats more fingers than you have so I will give you a moment to take your shoes off for counting purposes....mmmmm...ready?....okay...).
The words I refer to are "this forum" that means the forum that we are IN.
Now look above, way up, no not above your computer - that's too far - I mean toward the top of this thread and not the title that you see up there.
Note where it says "Russian Brides->Main Forum->My Lucky Lover". THAT is the title of THIS forum. And there is a gender specified there. Do you see the word "Brides" written there? (I know you can do this.)
I do hope that that is gender specific enough for you.
Thank you for that detailed summary, yes I understood all your directions and it did lead me to Russian Brides.
I just did this to make sure some of the less fortunate among us can have this spelled out for us. :)))
I would have never have thought to use my toes to count past 9, also Thank you for reminding me to put my shoes back on, it would have been terrible to go to work without shoes on!!!!
By the way, Jet, I did receive my message from 'Nadja"( other thread), she is hopeful for a meeting with me, without getting into specifics,so I think maybe Bored was a specific case of brushing off. Until you actually meet with a girl, you'll never know for sure!!
I'm happy that you were able to carry the instructions all the way through. :)
Regarding Nadja - the point should be made that not ALL women who brush off some of us in this forum, are neccessarily scammers. This IS real life. And not a fantasy land. And just like in real life - some of us don't appeal to particular women for one reason or another. That the women don't want to meet one of us should not automatically be considered an indication that they are scammers.
It is for that reason that I am very wary of scammer lists in general. Oh I know scammers exist. And I know that in some places its practically an industry. But I've also read some of the venomous comments written by guys on scammer boards that sound more like hurt reactions from legitimately jilted "lovers" (or imagined "lover wannabees") who just want to hurt the woman as they feel they themselves have been hurt.
Boredffukka (with two "f"s) has a few quirks (as I am sure we all do) that might have turned Nadja off.
Be sure and tell us if the meeting actually takes place anyway - it will be interesting to know. (And make sure you meet her with your shoes on....) :)
I am not too familiar with boredffukka, but boredfukka( one F) is the one that started thread involving 'Nadja' and has natashaclub. Hstarted thread called he is still upset and asked moderators why she(nadja)profile is on fiance website.
I'll be in Ukraine in May, you still heading there soon!
I had a subscription to Lucky Lovers over three years ago. I liked it, but I started to get things serious here on fiance with Larissa so I cancelled my subscription. The one thing I did like was the instant chat feature and you could see who was online. So the instant communications was nice along with the emails you received and the search function I liked also. I can't say much bad about it, I think I ran into one scammer on there, I'm not really sure, there was something about her that just didn't fit. Overall it was fun and functional. Also it seemed that their translation software was pretty decent. Not like some of the hokey crap you can run into.
nasfan,
The thread is about 'My Lucky Lover', not lucky lovers and having just taken a look at My Lucky Lover, with a homepage full of bikini clad babes, well as the saying goes 'if it seems to good to be true then it normally is'.
I also subscribed to Lucky Lovers some years ago, overall I have positive thoughts regarding it, however the 'online chat' ladies, most of whom have their own PC's, chat online with perhaps dozens of guys and a guy should be focusing on a lady that doesn't have her own PC thus is less likely to be communicating with dozens of guys and communicating with a lesser number or perhaps only one.
Anyone can register a profile on Lucky Lovers so there is no 'quality control' to prevent scammers registering there, and there were quite an apparent few of them, however there was one lady who I proved to be a scammer and as soon as I had the proof and reported her they removed her profile, they were bl00dy excellent infact.
Having just taken a look at My Lucky Lover's website again where is their contact information, their registered address, their contact telephone number(s)? How can they offer a telephone translation service if they don't have a telephone?
Also, they post a few ladies in the scam area but without saying what these ladies did wrong and it seems that they have just moved a few profiles from one area to another and that a guy can still purchase the contact information for these 'scammers'.
Any guy that pays money to a company without having all their relevanyt contact information, I've seen such sites many times before, must be off his head :)
Martin:
Sometime back I also subscribed to a service that I THOUGHT was "luckylovers.com". The website had a distinctive and relatively unusual design. I was quite pleased with the service I got - and I used the site a lot while I was in Latvia.
Now that I am seriously searching again - I TRIED luckylover.com, I also tried luckylovers.com. I even Googled on both and was unable to FIND the iteration that I once subscribed to. Unable to FIND the sites I remembered I must admit I wondered if my memory was faulty and I actually subscribed to myluckylover.com.
myluckylover.com has a a flashy webpage with bikini clad women - its true, but I hope that alone doesn't scare anyone. Whether it is or it isn't the website I recalled from some years back - the points you mention above are not condemning in their own right.
And if the other site still exists (luckylover.com) - tell me where it is.
If you go to either luckylover.com or luckylovers.com you will find websites - but they are just stubs. Neither is really a service. Both just direct you to other links. Both are just website space holders.
jetmba,
I had a scroll through a few pages of My Lucky Lover earlier and, I mean, it's kid in a candy store stuff, there are t1ts, oversized t1ts, in your face, nipples etc. thus it cannot possibly be serious. as John McEnroe would have said.
But, in my previous years of experience, if there are such a concentration of beauties, particularly scantily clad beauties, whilst no contact information or address is provided then when, not if but when, your money is lost what course of redress do you have, it is only a website but if anyone knows an IT specialist, I know one but he's busy moving house in South Carolina at the moment, then get them to run a check on who owns the domain etc. for that website and track them down, find out who really is behind that website.
myluckylovers.com has a database of approximately 200 women that match my rough criteria (might seem like a lot - but you don't learn much with "free" searches. That search is REALLY rough.) And it costs $95 REOCCURRING (until you find the damn way to jump through enough hoops to STOP the rebilling) at $20 monthly. For that you get a maximum of 20 addresses per month.
luckylovers.net has a database of 2900 women that match my rough criteria and it costs just $19.99 per month NOT reoccuring to join - with unlimited addresses.
I WILL give credit where it is due and thank Martin for pointing out that the two websites were indeed different - rather than myluckylovers just being the more recent configuration of luckylovers.
If Martin hadn't spoken up I might have plunked down $95 and not been very happy about it.
You may stick a feather in your cap Martin. Thanks.
