I'm currently using Anastasiaweb email forwarding to contact several ladies on their website. I failed to read their company policy fine print which states they will not allow private email or telephone information to be exchanged. Only postal addresses. So the bottom line is this service is just another form of buying a ladies address which will take a minimum of two emails. The cost is about $6 per email. Your other option is to use their phone introduction service at $3.99 a minute with a minimum 10 minute call to contact the lady and then you can ask for her private email or telephone. Gee thanks! All that for $40! The girls are hot and live in the city that I plan on visiting this Septemeber so this is why I decided to try this email forwarding service. I'm still not to comfortable with someone else translating my letter. Out of the seven girls I'm corresponding with only one has given me her postal address. I'm noticing most of the girls letters are very generic talking about themselves and not ansering any of my questions from a previous letter. Two of them I flat told them in bold print "I need your postal address!" and still I got a generic letter. Now some of them are answering my questions and I expect their postal address in the next round of email letters from them. So tell me guys! Am I getting ripped off by Anastasiaweb.com? What's their reputation. They are a big agency and American based so I thought I could trust them but now I'm not so sure. All these bullshit letters are getting me nervous.
It's unfortunate that where ever you go to look for a woman if it involves the slightest bit of help you'll pay high prices.
I actually feel sorry for a lot of these eastern women. I doubt many can actually afford to pay to advertise themselves on the internet as potential marriage candidates.
I suppose for many of these women life must be very hard. It's a shame that you get these company's that like to introduce us to them aswell as take money from both sides for the honour of what may lead to nothing.
I don't know of the agency you mentioned (this is the first site I found with a semi active forum so I stopped looking and stayed here).
With regard to the prices you must remember that women are seen as a financial gold mine and legal or not, people want to make money from mens sexual desires to have a woman of his own. It's probably the next most secure job to being employed by the government because there will always be demand.
I personally do not like idea of mail forwarding that is edited .. he he:)
when you pay for expressmail do they remove your address information from the mail?
mail forwarding - is service to forward mail from email to the psotal mail. we do it at
www.russianservice.com . it is real EMAIL to MAIL. it can be coruier, can be first class mail. but it is mail forwardiung. Sites similar to anastasia web call mail forwarding something that is not really. they send lettesr to the agencies. agencies print it out for the ladies registered with them. so, in my opinion it is a rip of. even though Anastaisa is a best company for tours. and they really watch that agencies do not scam. if agency does it they return credit to the clients
More and more girls are independent now, they have own email.. you still pay for MAIL FORWARDING to their email, on site like anastasia, european connections...
at fiance.com there is no EDITING of the letters. There is no name mailforwrading, with Premium membership you can write to anybody free first intorduction letters, pay for letter/answre delivery for next letters to the girls with agenciy emails. with V.I.P. memberhsip correspondence is unlimitted. conference call with the interpreter is $3
Quote Deanis: "All these bullshit letters are getting me nervous".
If there is one Golden Rule in this communication-game then it is this: Trust your instincts - they are the best tools you've got.
And persistent paying (dearly) for edited forwarding (read: censored) is something only gullible people do.
Also, your esoteric writing will come across generic, exactly like the crap you receive. You didn't really expect different, or did you?
You wanted an opinion about Anas'web - ask a fly about a spider's one.
I can testify that even a year ago when I first contacted my fiancee, she received my emails in her email mailbox well translated in Russian through what was called at the time www.dating-ru.com (now www.fiancee.com).
Anastasia and all other mail forwarding sites are plain thieves. You post you profile for free, then you're inundated by tens if not hundreds of mail each coming with a picture to lure you to click and pay $6 to read the lady's letter, then click again to send a response for $6 and so on. At least the first 1-3 letters are generic. It's an act that belongs to the crooks who own Anastasia to receive money for letters that mean nothing, they could be sent to everyone. In most cases, it's not the lady but the lady's agency the one that sends the first letters and the lady has no idea. How can you ever verify that the lady receives your mail when you're not allowed to pass direct contact information to her and she is not allowed to pass her to you either and you are trapped in this circle of sending and receiving short nonesense messages and pay hundreds of dollars for the benefit and prosperity of those who have devised this scheme and simply sit on the side and collect the cash as it comes in. Anastasia and Co. are banking on Americans' desire for instant gratification. The naive and new to this game click once, 24 hours later, they start receiving letters, for a while they're in heaven trying to understand how they turned overnight from peasants to kings and from Joe's to Valentines. 50-100 clicks later you realize the scheme that is going on, in the emantime you've spent a few hundred bucks, wasted your time and feel uncomfortable now to continue the pursuit of on-line dating.
Anastasia has even devised a newer scheme, they call it introduction over the phone. I introduced myself like this to a lady who turned to be a hooker through another very "prestigious" site called AFA or Love Me. The bill for that phone call turned about $150 (AFA charge $6 per minute, Anastasia charge $4 per minute).
I have been active in this type of dating for a whole year and know a bit about a few scams that are going on. In all fairness, whoever pays mail forwarding today is plain stupid, sucker, you name it. Stick with sites that charge you a monthly fee preferrably not renewed without your approval and for this fee they offer unlimited access to their database. Fiance.com is a good and honest site, but you should try 3-4 sites to see for yourself and compare and expand your possibilities in terms of number of ladies.
I know another site that I used in the past and was connected to a beautiful, 20-yr old from Ufa, Russia. I canceled visiting her 3 times and then the whole thing cooled off. But, the site offers unlimited correspondence for $18 a month and they don't renew your membership without your approval. Charges for translation are reasonable and the owners will communicate with the girl directly to find out things for you if you request it. The site is: site2date. They don't have phone service with interpreter, which is a problem if your girl doesn't speak English. I feel a lot more comfortable paying for services such as translation for example that add some value rather than mail forwarding type schemes.
I forgot to mention, you should this site that I mentioned site2date.) during weekends. Sometimes they offer weekend specials you can sign up for free and have unlimited access during the weekend. The way I understand it works is every girl on their site has email. So, you send her an email and she replies directly from her email to your email. So, the site's involvement is ony to get you to contact with the lady through the first letter. Then you establish direct communication with her, send her pics, etc. If you want translation, then you send your email to the agency, they translate it and send it to the girl's direct email and they copy you.
Remember most of the "non-mega" sites have small collections. You have to visit often and be selective. There are aboput 1-3 pretty girls entering that site every about a month. That's why you need to have several sites bookmarked and visit occassionally.
Thanks guys for all the insightful comments! Sorry I'm late to join in on the forum for my own topic but I was one of the vics of the great northeast black out. As for Anastasiaweb I'll be finished with them as soon as my last two credits are used. I tried thier phone intro service to get the personal info of a lady. We shared one letter between us at that point. Nice simple conversation and she was fluent in English as expected by her E4 rating on her profile. So as the translator stood by un-needed Daria and I had a nice chat and when I asked her for her private email and telephone she told me she does have email but it is too expensive for her to use so "Would I use Anastasia email to write her because it is free for her". As for her telephone number she told me she would like to wait and get to know me better before giving me her telephone number. Now I am totally convinced this deal is scam! She obviously must work for the agency! What a saleswoman! Well, that was a wasted $50 phone call. I guess just because the agency is big and is american owned doesn't mean you can trust them either. I just wonder where the source of the scamming is from. Is Anastasia innocent and it's the agency on the Russian or Ukraining side that is doing all the scamming? This last girl was obviously working for somebody but are some of the girls legit but never get your direct questions because of editing? Oh well. Live and learn I guess. I like this forum and I will check out fiancee.com further. Thanks for the help out wtrav02! Good luck on your future plans with your fiancee!
Some very interesting reading here. I like many, have fallen foul of some of the email scams but sussed it out pretty quickly. can I suggest a very reliable russian translator here in the UK ? her service is first class and tremendous value - russian-translation.
good insight, Luvseeker.
again, my opinion that paying for mail forwarding for each letter is a waste of money, and a simple money making machine for the agencies. get one meberhsip and write to anybody at fiance.com. there are more and more girls with the private emails.
Ok guys, I met my wife Elena Vosmachko in Odessa over four years ago through an agency called orchid which is now called Esta marriage angecy, she was then 20 years old. They have offices in Odessa and Kiev and operate from ... I flew back and forth dating her for 2 years while she finished her institute in Odessa and we now have been married over 2 years and live in the US, a total of 4 years together, but (esta marriage agency) still uses her profile!
Elena is the best woman I have ever met and the past 4 years has been the best years of my life and it keeps getting better! I hope you all get as lucky as I! But watch out, things are not what they were 4 years ago. Agencies are smarter now. If you get lucky and meet a sincere lady in person, have them bypass the agency by emailing from an internet cafe and use prompt online translater. This worked for us. Goodluck!
Just wanted to bring this topic back to the forefront. It seems to me that the email forwarding scammers are getting smarter and they are putting more work into it. This tells me that they are making bigger money on it and not making it elsewhere ( Selling addresses and tours) so I just want to educate the newbies and remind the vets.
50 grand, that is insane. that guy obviously has money to burn plus hes got to look like the elephant man without success after going thru that kind of cash- no offence intended to luvseeker, although his post is 2 years old im sure he doesnt come here anymore. If I was new to this that would scare me right out of it.
Thanks for the insight Deanis
yeh 2 years old he is probably up to 100 grand by now or dead.. these guys just dissapear into oblivion and im sure we dontr really hear the nasty stories that occur
Anastasia is proberbly the bigest scam going the were in court in the US for writing there own leeter from Odessa, anyone who has been around will tell you this $ 4 a minuite for a phone call you dont even has a clue if it is her on the other end !!!
