I'm at the early stages of beginning to learn some Russian words, phrases, the alphabet, and the numbers, together with the pronunciation
For anyone who may be interested in doing the same, I've found a site that is both free, and easy to follow. It only takes one so far into the basic dictionary of the language, but for anyone wanting to start from scratch like me it may be helpful.

I also suggest looking intot eh Rosetta Stone program. It is expensive (all three courses run 500 USD) but it is deffiantely work it. I coupled that with some russian podcasts, and i am well on my way.
I have a russian language Rosetta Stone program. I do not need it. I think I paid arounf 300 bucks for it. I'm will to part with it for 100 bucks. I still have the manual and the original box too.
