I am a british man and my fiance is an american woman, we want to move together in either england or the us (texas specifically), i dont even know where to start, we have met each other several times, have plenty of photos and letters, reciepts and plane ticket stubs etc, if anyone could help me it would be much appreciated, thank you.
An american citizen can stay in the UK for 6 months without a visa, I imagine the reverse is probably true as well so why not try living together for a while ?.
GiraffeeDreams...
My exwife is from Canada. I have much experience with immigration here. Whatever you do, do not use the word "move" or "live" when talking to the US Immigration Service.
Long story short... My wife was stuck in Canada for 7 months after she and I got married in Ottawa. Why? Because US Immigration saw her as an intended immigrant... although she and I had no intention of staying in the US.
GD: Can't quite figure your post out but at a guess it seems she is an American living in America and you want to relocate there? Texas? Right now, tell the USA Feds you have $2.00 capital to invest and they'll welcome you with open arms or tell them you are Mexican and they'll usher you in with the millions of others they claim to be trying to deny entry. Alternatively, you could just find the embassy website and start reading.
Oh my goodness a foreigner trying to marry an American woman...all of us (Americans) here are trying to get away from American women... does this give you any clues?
