I'm going to Kharkov in January. Never been, don't speak the language. I'm looking for name and phone number (or email) of a translator I can use, who can help me get around the city and so forth. I do a lot of traveling and know the translators published on the internet are usually too expensive and not real honest. If you have personal experience with one from Kharkov, please respond. I would greatly appreciate it. That's all, thanks.
Jabosi, I have not had any problems with meeting translators on the internet. Did you have bad experience? Also, they give their rates, but i think everything is up for negotiation. Make an offer and you might be surprised of how much they come down. While you are there maybe you can find a different one.
Question, why get an interpreter? I mean, I understand it sucks not being able to speak the language but English is widely taught in the Ukraine. Plus, the smart money would be to start correspondence with a woman between now and then and she can act as your interpretor plus have someone to be with.
My brother went to Kharkov (remember the K is silent)two years ago and he said damn near everyone had the look of hopelessness there. Beautiful women though. And women ready for a man.
I could be wrong but I dont see you going there and needing much help. I think most women other than the incredibly uneducated will know at least basic English so directions shouldnt be hard to find. But if I were you, I would meet one online at a site like Elenasmodels.com before you go. Talk some and meet one before you go. There is a friggin mindboggling beauty named Oksana on there that is a blonde just wow but Im thinking shes pretty flighty. However, you can do a lot worse than meet up with her my friend!
