"With all respect to all ( especially the ladies ) this is an over rated statement... Like an old saying " beauty is on the eyes of the beholder".
Here in the new world aka the Americas, you can find a DIVERSITY of beautiful ladies. "
Ukraine is first in several polls. I think Lonely posted one just a week or 2 ago
LR wrote: "Get a real photo with the flowers and gifts?? That only proves that she held the flowers for a few minutes"
i prefer to take my own photos when i give them ;)
That "bunch of flowers" checking her out has been around as long as the internet has been around, the ladies, the agencies, anybody with half a brain is on to it, indeed even the flower vendors will be on to it and probably rent out bunches of flowers for just long enough to have said pics taken.
Going to have to think of something new and more original to check a lady out.
"how many profile pictures have you seen where the lady is holding a bouquet of flowers?"
I think I have only seen one profile holding flowers. I think the lack of those type of photos may be to avoid the impression that someone sent the flowers to the lady (another admirer) and thereby having the man lose interest fast.
4re,,, I agree with you,,, but a woman can do a lot without spackling on makeup. I also prefer women that use less makeup, and I’d pick a 6-7 anytime girl over a 8-10 with several layers on,,,,, and then a 4 or 5 without.
Everyone,,,,, "Get a real photo with the flowers and gifts??”
I’m not promoting the idea of sending flowers or gifts,,,, that’s why I put the “ ?? “ after the sentence. I can’t say that I would never ever send gifts,,, but if she is the typical agency girl,,, that refuses to budge from the agency,,,, then she gets no gifts, few letters, and a lot of scorn.
one girl was working in an agency and once she send a picture to my friend there was a girl holding a small bouquet of flowers, so she asked my friend if he could make that bouquet look three times bigger :)
Relevant to the discussion about makeup and deceptions .. I can see this happening in Ukraine, not sure about the price though:
A man who saw his new wife for the first time without make up is reportedly SUING her for trauma, after being shocked at her appearance.
The unnamed couple had just got married in Algeria and after spending the night together, the husband woke up to find his wife bare faced.
But rather than admire her natural beauty, instead the man REFUSED to believe the woman was his wife, believing her to be a thief.
Finally realizing that this was in fact the woman he loved, the man is now allegedly suing her for fraud and “psychological suffering”.
A source told Emirates 247: “He said he was deceived by her as she used to fill up her face with make up before their marriage.
“He said she looked very beautiful and attractive before marriage, but when he woke up in the morning and found that she had washed the make-up off her face, he was frightened as he thought she was a thief.”
The price of the husband’s “suffering” is £13,000.
“You need to be committed in order to make a marriage work. Some of the causes of divorce, besides infidelity, are lack of communication, being incompatible partners, and growing apart,” Cohen notes. “Basically, if you don’t know who you are as a person, you won’t be a good partner.”
“You’re less willing to compromise or accommodate a partner’s opinion into your own. When you’ve been supporting yourself and making your own decisions for years, it’s harder to get used to the idea of someone else’s opinion.”
Wrong. Downright stupid. Who haven't been nowhere?
"He didn't know what a VAT was."
Because I didn't know what a VAT was, I have been nowhere and this is your reason? More stupidity. What is the big deal with that? You have not explained how it is that I was wrong about how it is added to the price.
"The only place he goes "back to at any time" is to the Internet so that he act like a HS online Bully and spread whole lot of nothing."
A reaction to liars. I haven't called Martin that, but what do you call someone who makes things up? You can handle and look the other way while they make things up. I can't and won't.
so to give an update after starting this thread 7 years ago.
i never started my own business in ukraine but I did work as a teacher for AEC during the summer a couple years ago. It was a good experience and I met some great people. Not the people that you meet at night clubs or marriage agencies. just normal, decent, educated people.
In the end, I didn't take to teaching and came home after a few months. I wish I had the guts to have done this when I was in my thirties. The younger teachers in the school, well, what can I say, they did very well for themselves.
i spent a lot of time in ukraine, spent a lot of money, and ultimately I failed. i'm saying this because I know I'm not the only one. for those of you who have also failed, know this, we were always setup for failure. so don't be too hard on yourself. no one makes any money off of us if we succeed.
i want to thank all those positive and constructive posters on this forum.
