If you're that worried about it, put money you don't want to lose in a trust. Real Estate, we already covered. I'm not worried about it. I don't have much and she knows it.
well what I knew already from my own experience.
Never marry a woman, - instead live together.
Always have bugging recording device hidden with your house phone. If she is planning anything you will not be the last to know-you will be able to plan in advance and take suitable legal action and you will not lose your money.
Of course there will be the know all guys that say how can you live together with a woman when you do not trust her-but it is these guys with the "marriage is for life " mindset that will complain when they get ripped off by their scheming woman.
I don’t see anything new in this story. This is the ultimate in scamming to which the “money for correspondence girls” which some guys seem to be so afraid of, are small potatoes.
This type of woman is not limited to fsu countries. You can just as easily find one on your home turf. They’re like vampires..you have to invite them into you home before they can do the damage.
The only thing that surprises me about this one is she didn’t come disguised as a fresh young thing in a miniskirt.
I suppose a guy that’s been alone for a number of years gets a little desperate. The lesson he should have learned, or better still, should have known is:- you don’t have to be with someone to be validated.
It’s all very well to say this after the fact; but if this guy had shown a little self respect she wouldn’t have got away with it.
No sincere woman would ever ask for a brown penny from a guy.
If in doubt, either don't marry her or ask her to sign a pre-nuptial agreement through a lawyer where it's legally agreed before the marriage what she is entitled to should you divorce.
Not all FSU women are scum bags. I have quite a few friends from there who regularly correspond with me and one was emotionally distraught after the so called 'fiance' she thought she was going to start a new life with in the UK announced after months of meetings and correspondence that he was married and had 2 kids, so it cuts both ways even though on this occasion money was not involved.
I wonder how many guys who are into letter writing are just feeding their ego and have no real intention whatsoever of meeting the women they are writing to. This is not fair on decent women who become emotionally involved with these men and it is a form of emotional abuse. In the end these guys only keep the Agency balance sheets healthy with all the letters that they write. By the way some of my other friends from Ukraine and Russia say that many women from there do not trust Western men for this reason.
Basically, it is common sense to NEVER send money to someone you either barely know or have not met! That is why scamming is now a major industry. Further more it is also common sense to protect your assets BEFORE you get married no matter how much you love each other at the beginning. A pre-nuptial is only a small expense compared to bringing her over anyway and finding that your marriage fails and you are left with nothing.
It's certainly true the men are often guilty of leading fsu women down the garden path. It is widely discussed on fsu womens dating forums with the perpetrators named and shamed.
Doubtful if a pre-nupt would be a very welcome arrangement in the eyes of a prospective bride.
I'm inclined to think if you're prepared to present her with a pre-nupt...better not get married.
hell yes some guys never learn.the guy in the dailymail.co.uk report here would not have gained much from a a pre nup.I am inclined to agree with the other member xvvx here though:listening devices are safer and cheaper option.
What about a keylogger? A far cheaper option, sometimes even free. If she is talking on the phone in her native language (most likely), how would you understand? With a keylogger, simply copy and paste the foreign text.

Sorry XVVX
This is totally illegal, it wouldnt even make it in to court in the UK or USA!
