Well, it seems that the future is starting to look interesting here in the UK. First, our new glorious coalition government has stated a possible intention to require language tests for all non-EU immigrants. It would be interesting to know how everyone thinks this would change things. Would this change your plans for bringing a lady across, or would you ensure they learn English before emigrating anyway?

On a slightly better note, I read today that the EU is now considering pushing for more tourism from, among other places, Russia! If it pans out, visitors visa's to Europe may become significantly easier to achieve. I suppose there's even the chance that Russia will reciprocally relax visa requirements for visiting Europeans.
I suppose the question is, how will these developments change the process for people getting to know, courting and eventually moving an FSU lady to their home?
Muzzy it's all about borders, language and culture. Funny though, why do you guys tolerate Sharia law, but worried about whether someone speaks the language of your country??
It's called assimilation and my wife took English courses before coming here.
