I know this has probably been coat-hung before now, but....Is this agency real or what?
The letters come thick and fast, quite rhetorical, with illusory wordplay, and intraspective opinions about the order of love in the universe, it all seems a little far fetched for mine, 'darling'. I have obviously spent some mula on aquainting myself as the women seem truly gorgeous, on paper (gloss), but before I rack up the credits I want to get some feedback off my fellow compadres.
Has anyone happily landed via Anastasia?
I have been with Loveme.com but I thought I'd throw a wider net, naturally, but I'll haul anchor if it's shark infested.
I'm in Odessa next month, so I'm keen to meet a legit girl but I get the feeling some of these letters are concocted at the office by staff on behalf of a pretty photo as one mispelt my name three times, then signed off with another name! And 2 others evaded original commitments for a video link after they were mad keen from the outset, I'm a good looking guy with (what I thought) was an eye for a decent type.....but... What the hey?
I'm genuinley into this but it's a little off-putting...."I hope you write me soon"
"Russian and Ukraine women’s agencies that perform match-making services in addition to simply providing introductions are considered more proactive about the process. These agencies take the further step of searching through databases for their clients and sending introductory letters to perspective matches who meet members criteria."
I read somewhere else that this is considered acceptable by Anastatia.
That being said, I communicated for a time with one woman on there, but only after I had received a second letter. Since more than one from the agency is not considered acceptable, I opened it and she seemed pretty genuine for a while, but at this point I'm pretty sure she is just another agency girl.
I was on Anastasia, and I was writing to a nice woman from Odessa.
Next thing I get an introductory letter from the same woman but with a different ID number. When I contacted the woman under the new ID, it was obvious she had no idea about me!
I thought that was odd :), so I contacted the agency, their reply is below, and I kid you not. At least they were honest I guess............
Dear xxx,
We have thoroughly examined the situation with duplicate profiles of the lady and found out that, unfortunately, the profile with ID XXXXX was being used by someone in the local agency without Inna's permission. She is using the account with ID 1143940 and you are welcome to communicate with her there.
I am sincerely sorry about this unpleasant situation. I have to say that such cases happen very rarely and we do our best to make sure that all profiles are being used by he ladies themselves. Your message to us has helped detect the fact of a serious violation of our policies, the profile with ID 1429653 has already been removed and we will take strict measures against the person who has breached our rules. Again, please accept my apologies and thank you for the cooperation!
I have issued 100 credits to your account to compensate for your communication with ID XXXXX and to compliment on your help. Please, feel free to use them.
If there`s anything further that we can help you with, please don`t hesitate to contact us.
Anastasia - this is just another word for Scam.
I used that website for too long and am ashamed that I did so. My experiences tell me that, yes, there are many real ladies there as I met several, but sadly their only existence is to make you spend money rather than find a partner.
Steer WELL WELL CLEAR!
Many beautiful pictures of ladies, but the site is an illusion. The site should probably be banned
All sites are illusions and are run as a money making business. The wise know the truth. Writing letters is a supplemental income to FSU women and only the gullible believe it to be real.

to Simpleton and others:
Almost all 'dating' sites have an anti-scam policy or links to a scam data base as what they portray to be a self policing approach. Most of the sites that give recommendations (the gold list etc) are nothing more than extensions of the agency that sent you. Since it's becoming well known that many or most of these agencies operate fraudulently and the term "scam" is widely known, they give you the illusion that they are "anti-scam" to lure you into a false sense of security. The old confidence man scheme... Fact is that most of the sites that list scam agencies are nothing but a scam themselves.
Maybe I will start my own dating web site. But to ensure my client base is satisfied of the legitimacy of my women, I will list them as "Certified Pre-owned" just as car dealerships now do. Wouldn't you rather have a "certified pre-owned lady" than a new model that has only been test driven a few hundred times but never actually taken off the lot? The discussion of scams is getting old. And people who post ladies' names and profiles is also getting old. As someone already mentioned, if you are unsure as to the legitimacy of a particular lady try using google to search her out. Then use your own judgment. Bear in mind the minute a woman turns a guy down most men are likely to cry scam. And some who are actually being scammed continue with the illusion thinking they will eventually end up marrying that woman. A 140 year old quote still rings true today, "There is a sucker born every minute."
I think they do it so as when one searches for 'Anastasia scam', or any agency scam, it confuses the search results, i.e. one finds their 'scam' page rather than, further down the results, guys complaining of scams.
Anastasia/dream-marriage/bride.ru/rbrides are not all scams, there are some genuine girls on there but there are also professional daters, these girls will love to write you endless letters and get you to visit them and take you to the best restaurants/nightclubs in town. But for every professional dater there is just as many genuine girls on there, it is down to you to sort the genuine from the fake. Now if you are going to use a PPL (pay per letter) Site be aware that half the money you spend will be wasted sorting the genuine from the not so. So be prepared to spend a few thousand dollars on there, for letters, IM and webcam chats trying to find the right one, just remember nothing in life is free :-) Also remember to keep a good dose of reality handy, as i posted elsewhere on this forum, if you are 5foot 2" 250lb 57 year old guy why is some model class 18 year old going to be seriously interested in you? unless your name is Donald Trump she isn't and well if you are Donald trump take a look at his divorce settlement for a further dose of reality :-) If you begrudge spending that much well try the sites where you pay a set fee, at least you know what your outlay is going to be excluding any trips there and that will soon rack up the costs. Still begrudge spending that much? well go down to your local Bar/Nightclub find the hottest girl there buy her a drink and ask her to jump on the next plane to Vegas and wait for her answer, do you really expect it to be yes? Well there is the reality you want a Beautiful girl from Russia/Ukraine be prepared to put the effort and yes the money in to find her.
Now for the real facts that Anastasia/Dream-Marriage/Others don't want you to know, yes there are certain scams, as much as they try denying it they know the scams go on and they are complicit, don't believe it? go read there disclaimers carefully and then look at how they are written, "We do not pay the girls to chat to you" is a common statement on those sites and strictly speaking that is true, the website does not pay the girls, but they do pay the "local" Agency a fee for the girls and yes the girls are encouraged to chat from the agency's computers and the longer they chat the more the local agency earns and some of them pay the girls a percentage. Remember they are a business at the end of the day, they are not operating these sites out of the kindness of their hearts. Now not all the girls are just there to earn money or earn money for the Agency, for every girl that is like that, there are an equal number of genuine ones.
Translation fee's are also another scam favourite as well as travel arrangements, and well as I have stated else where if you are too lazy to arrange your own hotel and want to stay in the agencies apartment then well you deserve what you get. If you choose a girl that does not speak any English then well unless you want a translator following you everywhere (kind of kills any romance) more fool you. There are quite a few girls that speak at least intermediate English and you will have a great time and lots of fun with the mistakes and miss-understandings :-)
Take a deep inhale from some really strong coffee, take off the rose tinted glasses and well you will be ok, but don't expect to pay $50 and a week later to be married to some Ukrainian super model it just wont happen.
Where does my experiance and how can i be sure of what i say here? Well I lived in Moscow in 89 for 9 months, lived in Bucharest, Chisinau and visited Ukraine many times for both Business and pleasure. Also my businesses have provided services to some of these agencies. So yes I do know the scams but also I know there are plenty of genuine girls on these sites too.
Maybe one day I will get round to writing something like a survival guide to visiting Russia/Ukraine and Internet dating, till then I will try to offer some unbiased advice and give it freely. Of course if you are in the Donald Trump/Bill gates League I will gladly set up a site for you to correspond with the most beautiful girls you can imagine for a nice fee and I cannot guarantee that the girls will be anything more than pure imagination :-)
