Anyone have good experience and knowledge of a site that will do a great job in submitting application for K-1 Visa (USA) from start to finish. I want a firm that can provide help to my fiancee in her native language, Ukrainian or Russian, from start to finish including interview at the embassy. Of course I also want all the help I can get.
You can PM me or point me in the right direction right in here. The more details the better..thanks.
Any solid help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.
As far as I know, the only kind of organization that can provide the type of "full service" you seek, would be a US law firm specializing in immigration. I expect that you can find one that has a counterpart office in Ukraine that can provide any direct assistance that may be needed on the other side.
Of course, they will charge as law firms do! For those preferring to save money by doing it without an attorney, follow baron's advice above (he knows what he is talking about, he recently married a woman from the FSU). visajourney is consistently recommended as the best place to find this information.
Unless your case is non-standard, like maybe you have a criminal background or your fiancee overstayed a visa to the US in prior years, or you're a registered offender or something else very weird in your background, there is no reason a visa agency or immigration law firm is needed. You will do all the work, you will have to provide all the documentation, the process will be extended since you send everything them and then they take their time to send it to USCIS and you will pay more money.
If you can read English instructions, if you can read detailed how to and what to do guides and read forum stickys and ask questions in the VJ forums, then you are good to go.
Visit the K-1 General Info forum and read the stickies and then for FSU-specific info, visit the Russia-Ukraine-Belarus regional forum. I hang out there, same screen name. We're a fun lovin' group, that's into guns, pie, and our MOBs (real people who really have their hotties living with them).
Thanks guys...but I will probably go with some *experienced* site...at a price of course! The need for translated documents etc. seems a bit much. Anyway VisaJourney.com has some adverts on a site or two that supposedly does a lot of the work for you. Trouble is there are so many *assisters* out there in google-land I was hoping someone had actually used one with good experience and results.
The translated documents are for her documents. There is a person on VJ who does this (from here in the states) for a very nice price. You seem to be allowing yourself to be overwhelmed by the process when in fact it is not. Also there is no site that can assure everything will be taken care of; you really really both need to be fully knowledgeable of the entire process since you two will be dealing directly with USCIS and the Embassy (and the "site" will have not affect or effect or help in that regard). I suggest you read up more on the process and the documents required and then make your decision.
Again, even if you go with a "site", you really need to be very knowledgeable about the details of the process.
Also, don't forget it doesn't end with the K-1 and entry to the US. Read up on Adjusting her Status (AOS) and the Green Card (that is more of an end than just the K-1).
