Well fsu if I called you a name then I apologize.
Yes 31st is our one year.
I "jumped" at the first woman who, mutually, we met both our criteria.
I guess I either got really lucky ..... or I was able to put together a strong plan and had a solid introduction and a solid grasp of how to go about communicating with and vetting out the riff raff FSU women.
Anybody can do it. Everyone is different and different methods must be used.
That you took many trips is/was up to you. I don't know the circunstances
About each but maybe each was just part of your learning curve.... or just bad luck?
I can't say your experience trumps mine nor mine yors but I can say that I would place more trust in our comments than with some of the other blokes here who either are fake, hide behind false screen names or have had zero luck.
zarkey, good luck. I envy you and your position. just remember one thing. you are still comparatively very young. and in this day and age many 'modernized' peoples set their goals inappropriately. bigger house, nicer cars, I want this - keeping up with the JONES so to speak. If you set your goals and aspirations with the main focus on life itself, then you will be a success. family values are much more important than monetary gains. just make sure the woman of your dreams believes this too. that she doesn't have hopes or expectations of 'living the dream'.
For that matter, being serious about yourself and using the best modern methods is not rocket science either.
I think we lost zarkey.
I have a question. Is it difficult for a woman with a child, or as zarkey put it a mommy, to find a mate overseas? The sentiment here seems to say so. Yet a few posters have chosen such a woman and a few more intends to.
It is a cream coloured house converted in to apartments, I'd suggest 'glorified bedsits' rather than apartments because the house doesn't look big enough to house at least 7 apartments of any decent size.
There is no problem for such a guy as Zarkey to find a young, pretty girl, with no children in Ukraine. Hey Zarkey, if you are in Nikolaev just write me and I'll help you with discovering its clubs, cafes and other places of attraction where we'll find loads of real girls.
@ Mike!
I even had to register to talk to you here.
Im a Ukrainian girl and trust me I'm nothing like you all here imagining Ukrainian girls to be! Neither me nor most of those girls I met in my county during past 26 years.
- there is lots of drama everywhere, depends on personalities. Ukrainians are any different than American or Indonesian girls.
- "I hear that Ukraine girls want that guy they can depend on" - what? I wonder who spreads those rumors? If you need a helpless and immature thing, sure, go to Ukraine, but if you need an adult and independent women, then most likely she wouldn't want to depend on you (whatever country she's from).
- "have strong family values"? May be. But believe that most women in the world want to get married some day, want to do it once and want to have kids. By the way, American girls are planning their wedding since they are 12 and dreaming about a rock on the finger since they are off to college. Why to go across the ocean to find something you have everywhere?
- Yes, we are pretty, for the most part. Even slightly cute (as for Ukraine) girl is beautiful according to "world standards". So what? If she's smart, she wouldn't use her beauty for getting a husband from abroad. If she is just pretty, but no brain, most likely she'll hunt you for your money or citizenship.
Its spring right now, so I do hope you didn't go to Ukraine and do something else stupid.
Iryna
p.s. I was just googling whats correct "a Ukrainian" or "an Ukrainian" when found this post.
@ Muzzy: "First off, learn Russian, not Ukrainian" - are you serious? Whole life long spoke only Ukrainian.
+ Mariupol is somewhere on the Russian border? What a "surprise" they speak Russian, right?.
But it doesn't mean that all 40 something millions of people do so.
About language -- can you converse in Russian? Do you know educated Ukrainians who didn't learn how to understand or speak in Russian? I'm curious about language questions.
In English, someone you "can depend on" doesn't mean that you are dependent (that you need them, in order to get along). Rather, it means someone who is trustworthy and reliable -- for example, a person who is honest.
"I do hope you didn't go to Ukraine and do something else stupid" -- I don't know about Mike, but I often do stupid things in Ukraine (конечно, я дурак). I did my most recent stupid thing in Kyiv 8 nights ago.
Your google ("a Ukrainian" vs. "an Ukrainian") reminds me how tricky it can be to learn a language. Especially English -- the rules are so complicated, with many exceptions! But your English is very good, keep practicing!
I have taken bits of good advice from most of you all and I thank you, but this isn't a competition as to who knows more or who has been there longer. Just take the good advise and leave the bad as per your better judgement. No need to attack or bicker guys. Thanks.

Went to Kiev 3 times - everyone spoke Russian
Went to Odessa - everyone spoke Russian
Went to Nikolaev - everyone spoke Russian
Went to Sumy - everyone spoke Russian
Went to Mariupol - everyone spoke Russian
Did I say everyone in Ukraine speaks Russian? I'm quite well aware that everyone I've met so far CAN speak Ukrainian, but most I'VE MET choose not to.
Conversely, I have friends in England who are originally from Kanyev, who speak mostly Ukrainian. That's three out of the hundreds I've met. My advice is based on percentages, not absolutes.
If you really want to pick a fight, you'll find plenty of people here who are interested. I'm not.
I was told that Ukrainian is spoken in Eastern Ukraine. Speaking Russian there is looked down upon. If you look at the map of Ukraine, all of the cities these Ukrainian women in the dating websites or discussed in this forum are not from Eastern Ukraine, including the cities Muzzy visited.
Pick a fight? He probably is mistaken, but I don't see Stroberynka picking a fight. My last question to you, Muzzy was not to pick a fight, but to point out what I perceived as your support of Ralph's condenscending attitude toward Hispanics. Maybe I was mistaken, but I was not picking a fight.
I picked a fine day to look in on the forum... I was worried about you RB. Were you in jail or something? How on earth do you come out of the closet and immediately involve me in something?
I do not have a condescending attitude toward Hispanics. I only have a condescending attitude towards those who are in charge who don't have a clue yet try to give the impression they are all-knowing individuals. This goes for the corporate world as well as our elected officials.
Fortunately you are not in charge - of anything.
My attitude toward Hispanics is this: Treat all people the same until they give you a reason not to. My disdain surrounding Hispanics is that my government uses my tax money to support the millions of illegal aliens (undocumented immigrants - what a laugh) and I am supposed to embrace them sneaking across the boarder only to go on welfare and other social programs, commit crimes and terrorize neighborhoods etc. AND I SURE AS SHIT DO WANT TO PRESS 1 FOR ENGLISH!!!!!!!!
Here is what is amazing. Going to the SS office with my Russian wife just to get her name change on her card. Every time I went there -- we were a part of five out of fifty who understood ENGLISH!!!!!!! And she was as appalled as I was about it. Why don't you go back into hiding.
I just looked at my post. I meant Western Ukraine.
I am appalled too. I am with you in the front in protesting politicians support of them. But as I said before, your posts went over the top when you depicted them as criminals. Some are, just like other ethnic groups, but they are just trying to make a better living for themselves and their families. Your joke about them killing their spouses instead of divorcing them was an example of your condescending attitude. I can expect it from you and I didn't respond to your posts. But, when I saw or perceived that Muzzy was spreading it, that's when I questioned it.
Are Muzzy's posts beyond question? Questioning that fact was a factor of my being away for a while. I just had to step back and think on it when Mr. Durak called me on it. Muzzy passionately questioned me when I called those who want to be called Christians, Christians. He got in the middle of you and me several times, portraying himself as a peacemaker, but he never called you by name. It was "Ragingbull and others." I agreed with him the last time. All I asked for was for you not to start it. When it was clear that you started it, he then called my post in response, unprovoked and uncalled for. Why can I not question his response to your joke?
Do you see Stroberynka as picking a fight? I don't. He may very well be, but why does Muzzy have to respond as if he was?
@ Ralph on illegal immigrants: You're right on the money.
@ RB: The mere fact that they're here illegally makes them a criminal by definition. When I was travelling to Mexico for work, I was required to pull an FM3 or an FMVSS (Mexican work visas) even to step into the factory of MY employer. If I'm able and required to follow the laws of another country if I wish to work there I see no problem with a foreign national doing the same in the US.
By the way, three of my four grandparents were immigrants to the US (two of them were Ukrainian). They somehow also managed to become US citizens and it didn't happen overnight either!
My father's parents came here in 1913, met, fell in love here and didn't manage to become US citizen until 1941. Ironically, my grandfather was required to register for the draft around WWI. Amazing what information you can find on the internet and in old family papers. (I have a scan of his registration form which showed him employed by a meat packing company in Chicago.)
Batman, I do not disagree with most of what Ralph said. I do wish that they are sent back home: every single one of them. There are far too many people in the world who wants to go to the US. It is just not fair when someone (12 million of them) cuts the line.
What I was refering to and what Ralph has ranted about are crimes beyond them being illegal. Go ahead and accuse them of crimes about being an illegal alien, but to accuse them of other things is wrong.
Here is just one of Ralph's posts.
"Muzzy, you do get around don't you. Not at all. I lived in So Cal, I know many Latino types and have friends of many colors. I got off on a tangent over the whole mess with the criminals sneaking into the country and then getting pampered. Every night in my local area there are shootings, muggings assaults etc. etc. etc. - and GUESS WHO? It is largely (90%) the illegal alien community and their homies perpetrating these crimes."
I live in Southern California. I watch news regularly. 90%? If you go by my personal survey watching news and who I see getting arrested on the streets, it doesn't even reach 25%. When I took the dog for a walk earlier, I talked to a few latinos working in the yard. They were probably illegal, but they were nice guys. Before I started this FSU venture, I almost dated a Mexican illegal alien. She had nice kids. How can you accuse these people of crimes other than being illegal?
I didn't respond when Ralph posted that, but he followed it up with the joke I was refering to above. This would have been over with, but they had a problem with my questioning the joke.
"The mere fact that they're here illegally makes them a criminal by definition"
No: that is factually wrong. Most laws in the USA are not criminal codes.
Undocumented aliens in the USA may indeed have broken the law (though personally, I wouldn't call someone brought to the US as a small child without a visa a 'law-breaker'). Such an entry is a federal administrative violation, but is not (under present federal law) a crime.
It would be much more accurate (although still not very accurate) to say that anyone who knowingly makes an incorrect entry on their tax return a criminal... or anyone who has ever driven at least 5 mph over the speed limit... or anyone who has ever given someone a CD/DVD/etc. with a copy of some copyrighted music or movie: an absolute violation of federal law!
Most people in the USA who ever took a puff of marijuana were committing a criminal act by so doing. But except in Arizona (and perhaps a few other places), being an alien in the USA without a valid visa is not a crime.
It's not my intention to criticize, and I say nothing here about the controversies concerning immigration. Simply, words have meanings. An alien who comes to my neighborhood without a visa is not, by dint of doing so, a criminal. A guy who amuses himself by breaking my window with a rock IS a criminal, no matter where he came from.
