"I would hope that newbies are able to read past posts, and would not require restatement in each new post.
And newbies SHOULD be aware that while the GIRLS listed in profiles are real, there is NO guarantee that women who they are writing to have any idea that they are even BEING written to - much less writing back."
You are taking a lot for granted. Have you noticed that posts to this forum go into the search engines? When they do, do you expect them to read what in order to understand you? What they should be aware of and what they are aware of are two different things.
"Getting back to the main topic, it is a walk in the park now for a Ukrainian to get a USA visa and to travel abroad. So why make it hard on yourself, she applies, gets one ,comes over and you marry her . I have too much time on my hands here in my apartment being quite sick, very sick, doesnt the BBC channel ever get new news ? It`s the same shit over and over . I have it memorized.(lol)"
One of the ladies I visited (through pay per letter) considered herself married (and eventually divorced). They went through the priest, but did no government paperwork. Getting divorced was easy. He simply abandoned her.
If you still want to get married in Ukraine and, in fact it is still true that it is still harder to get a visa when you are married rather than being a fiance, then I recommend doing what that girl did: Marry without government paperwork and apply for visa as a fiance.
ragingbull: If newbies need to be spoonfed information in the verbal equivalent of babyfood - they should certianly not endeavor to pursue FSU ladies, nor read a newspaper, not even work the order stations at McDonald's (the fry table might not be overly challenging).
You underestimate the intelligence of the people doing this.
Perhaps you have lowered your expectations based on the drivel of Looney and "Dumb a"?
"Getting back to the main topic, it is a walk in the park now for a Ukrainian to get a USA visa and to travel abroad. So why make it hard on yourself, she applies, gets one ,comes over and you marry her."
It is NOT a walk in the park for a 21 year old girl, unmarried, no children, no business or real estate she must return to - to get a USA tourist visa. NOT a walk-in-the park in any way. And if she WERE to get one, and got married in the US it would be illegal and constitute fraud.
Such a case could easily result in her being deported and receiving a three or ten year ban from reenetering the US.
I think the whole point of getting married in Ukraine was to apply for a K3 visa, as opposed to a K1 visa, because the K3 requires less time to be seperated from your spouse.
A chuch wedding will not satisfy the requirements of a K3 visa.
When you apply for a K1 or K3 visa - both applicants are asked if they have ever been LEGALLY married. If either has been, LEGAL divorce papers are required. A church divorce doesn't count.
I have no idea if a legally married Ukrainian woman - who had been abandoned, or divoced in a church, and has no children, would ever be found out if she LIED and claimed never to have been married. But I wouldn't try it. It would be fraud and fraud like this would seem to have a way to come back and bite you - though I don't know exactly how.
If she has children the situation gets even more tricky. The father must sign papers gvng up his legal rights. And it would be pretty hard to hide a legal marriage, with or without a church divorce.
The difficulty obtaining a visa is directly related to the likelyhood that the girl will come BACK as promised. Thats why it is so difficult in some countries and especially for certain age groups.
Its all based on past records - and young, beautiful Ukrainian girls with not many assets or much money, don't tend to come back as they are supposed to. Therefore as a group it is very difficult for these people.

The problem is people of lower intelligence and even smarter than that do, and if they read what you wrote, you lead them astray. Your explanation is they should not even endeavor this in the first place because they failed to look for more information other than what you gave.
Whether or not one endeavors to pursue FSU ladies is not your decision. People who wants to do something should be up to them. They should be given adequate directions. All I did was point out your inadequate advice, so they will not think they do not need to look for more information.
I do not underestimate the intelligence of people doing this. As you say, at least two people who do not meet your intelligence requirements has.

When is getting married a fraud? If the Ukrainian or anyone from a foreign country falls in love and gets married in the US why would that be fraud? The only time that is a fraud is if they got married for the sheer purpose of obtaining a green card.
ragingbull: After spending two days trying to tell you what I meant with the words "sometimes" I am CERTAINLY not going to try and explain any legal issues to you.
Don't take my word for it. (You won't anyway. I know). Check with a good immigrations attorney and find out what happens when a woman gets married in the US shortly after getting a Tourist Visa.

Then spend a few days arguing with him."
Because you are wrong. I have seen it done several times. My first marriage was to a tourist visa holder. I have not looked at your website; perhaps later.
I have talked to several lawyers. This is a free country. The US is not in the business of denying marriage to people in love. I don't know of any country that does. Yes, they will give the visa holder a hard time in case it is a marriage to get a green card, but they will not deny the marriage. No one can prove you are getting married for love or for a visa unless you admit it.
As I pointed out, you only used the word "sometimes" after I pointed out your mistake, not before.
There was NO mistake. I wrote a satirical piece on Looney. Then I explained the principal. I never said THAT or ANYTHING happens ALWAYS. "Sometimes" was not a neccessary qualifier. You are simply trying desperately to show I was wrong. And I wasn't.
The FRAUD is based on the perception that a TOURIST VISA was sought to provide an avenue for a preplanned marriage instead of a proper FIANCE or MARRIAGE VISA. IF you obtained the Tourist Visa with fraudulent intent - it is FRAUD.
And YOU are the one concerned with misleading newbies??
OK. I read your site. It doesn't make sense. It is a lawyer trying to get business and he does not know what he is writing. Here are two quotes:
"Many couples contemplating marriage believe that a foreign national fiance (or fiancee) can simply enter the United States on a tourist visa, get married, stay in the United States, and then adjust status to become a green card holder."
"Additionally, when applying for a visa, a foreign national must not intentionally hide the fact that he or she has a U.S. citizen spouse, fiance, or fiancee."
The first quote is what we are talking about. Suppose someone did that? It is now time to apply for a visa for permanent residence. Why would you hide the fact that you have a US citizen spouse?
As I said I have done it. The fraud is when you hide things. A tourist visa is temporary. But, if one falls in love, the law must recognize that.
Fraud is something illegal. If you are honest of what you say, it is not fraud. The government is not in the business of taking married families apart.
So now, it's fraudulent intent. Of course, that is fraud. Here is your quote in which I responded to. You are wrong. That is not fraud.
"It is NOT a walk in the park for a 21 year old girl, unmarried, no children, no business or real estate she must return to - to get a USA tourist visa. NOT a walk-in-the park in any way. And if she WERE to get one, and got married in the US it would be illegal and constitute fraud."
You are adding things to your story that backpedals your original story, as you have done before.
"The FRAUD is based on the perception that a TOURIST VISA was sought to provide an avenue for a preplanned marriage instead of a proper FIANCE or MARRIAGE VISA."
Again, you are wrong. A marriage preplanned or otherwise is not fraud, if you do not lie about it.
Tell that to the THOUSANDS of families that are torn apart each year or forced to move out of the US if they want to stay together, because one spouse is deported. I am sure that they will appreciate your kind thoughts.
"Tell that to the THOUSANDS of families that are torn apart each year or forced to move out of the US if they want to stay together, because one spouse is deported. I am sure that they will appreciate your kind thoughts.
READ what the attorneys say.
And stop making stuff up."
I do not make things up. The people forced to move out of the US have committed fraud. If one is deported, he was in the US illegally.
