So I've been on here when I was single, and I had no-one. I am really not here anymore because I already found that person whom I am married to.
I still see posts of desperate older men who keep getting screwed. I am 28 now, and I've been here in Ukraine for awhile.
I want to share my stories and experiences in Ukraine, and how life REALLY is here through my videos from a Ukrainian Canadian perspective. Because, on your first visit, you won't know what to do, because, you're in a foreign country.
We have different mentality than them, but I try to explain things, so others try to understand. Some of my videos will be covering dating as well, but not at this moment. I am currently doing a project with Water Quality in Ukraine, which will be interesting to Ukrainians. Also stuff like small villages, Chernobyl etc etc.
I don't have a blog yet, please check my youtube video, and subscribe to it, so when I do have my blog you'll know where it is. This is where I give advice to people starting out.
I actually met someone on here when I was already in a relationship in Kiev. She messaged me. But she was a bitch when she found out I already had someone. Sometimes, you need to be the man. You're either in control, or out of control. Make your choice.
Rule of thoughts... VK... It's good. Most people who I taught at school, are REAL people. However, they are skeptic and nervous around you outside of class. I can understand, and my grand parents came from Ukraine and I grew up from Ukrainians from the old country. Just remember about VK, they don't know who you are in real life....
Try not to send anyone anything before you meet them. No Ukrainian woman will tell you her problems when you first meet them.
If you do meet, buy small gifts, and don't pamper anyone. You're there look for a relationship, or marriage, you're not looking to be someone's sugar daddy.
I can say, sometimes older men, do get a chance. If you're a funny old guy, give it a shot, why not? Just be prepared in life where you will stay.......
For any video ideas, please send me a message on Youtube. I think the dating video will be done in a few months. I'll go undercover and pretend I'm single!
Other than that, be safe out there, and don't be a looser and try to buy love. You're only the sugar that feeds the bacteria.
it felt you were describing my grandmother in the beginning of the article, difference she was from Croatia.
her strength was as you describe,, very few men would even contemplate today moving weights as a daily day to day thing as she did.
really western lives of many years ago was very similar.
the west has just evolved faster for some reason if thats the right word,, dunno..
many people now just dont know their passed family's history as in a daily event.
my other grandmother(british, almost pioneers to nz) with her sisters would carry home household needs most days home after school,, sugar flower and such for over a dozen household persons.
school was 9 1/2 km from home, the store was near the school.
that was their job.
10-14 year olds carrying 15 kg's each 9 kms at times.
if this was expected of children, think what the wives were doing.
its hard to imagine a lot of these old ladys standing, sitting begging having moneys behind the seen.
a few coins in a paper cup, their age, their dignity?
i just couldnt see how they could be scamming, as i was told many times some were..
i mean the very old..
Well in one of those "old guys". I'm 55 next month. I've just brought a 35 year old to the states. I asked her many tunes about the age difference. She said "it is normal in Ukraine" then she told me about how when she was 20 she married a 43 year old man and WA perfectly happy till he cheated on her. He was a fool. All I can say is you other old guys, if you have any game at all you should go and see what you can do for yourself. I keep hearing how she's a scammer but she is a very poor one if she is. She signed the "I get nothing prenup " which included any money she gets from the responsibility document be repaid. Its all so easy (but I have a crappy memory) .
“I keep hearing how she's a scammer but she is a very poor one if she is.”
Tom,, I don’t remember anyone saying that your girl is/was a scammer. But others have been where you are today,,,,,, like myself,,,, and I divorced her over 12 years ago.
I was never 110% happy with my marriage as you appear to be, but I have some good memories. The reality of a marriage can change like the snap of a finger,,,, and sometimes you don’t even hear it. I was happy with my FSU wife too!
I’ve been back for a few days,,, only hunted for 3 short days and never took the gun out of the case. Each day we had on and off snow with the temps hanging around 0C.
We have to drive to our hunting spots and traveled 213 miles in 1st or 2nd gear during those 3 days with fresh snow each day,,,, not one track! We were down a river for 5 miles,,,, no tracks there either.
The moose don’t like to move when the trees are hanging with snow,,, the day after we left might have been a good day to hunt,,, but the temps were to drop to -11C,, or about 10F. And the smaller lakes were already starting to freeze.
I wish I never left home as we both spent over 1,000 to watch it snow.
Guys, if you want to take your girlfriend to a nice Museum in Ukraine. Or that perfect girl you met, take her to the Chernobyl Museum in Kiev. She will be clinging to your arms )))
I wanted to share a video about what is happening in Maidan now as this is an update. There are some things you probably don't know about. It's translated to english fo you to enjoy!
I've just brought a 35 year old to the states. I asked her many tunes about the age difference. She said "it is normal in Ukraine"
Tom, I's a not true, the age difference of 10 years is already an exception. not a rule. usually the age difference inUA is abour 1-5 years. This is normal.
we don't accept big difference such as 15-20 years.
I know only one couple (when they met she was 35, UA lady, he was 54, Canadian man) who are happy together. Every case is unique, you know, for ex, this lady was independent, matured for her age, she has no family, only her child, nobody else, wel,, only 2-3 friends. So the man became everything for her: a lover, a supporter, a friend.
I hope your story will also have a happy end. Just wanted to say to other guys that it's NOT NORMAL in our country - such a big difference.
Still as for foreigner and ua lady very often I'd advise the difference in 5-10 years. Often it's better to be older around 10 years
A lot of Ukrianian women now, don't even want to work. They want to be be a house wife according to TCH, It's in Ukrainian if you understand news channel.
That's not true. Being a woman I know just a few women who would prefer to stay home and be house wives, the main part of Ukrainian women prefer to have jobs and to lead an active style of life. Yes, men here are considered to be main providers of a family but it doesn't mean that women prefer to be house wives. The problem is that there are too many myths about Ukrainian women that are cultivated by mass media or different sites. Don't believe to any statistics and mass media, better listen to those who live here and believe in what you see with your own eyes when you come here.
There are no rules. Look at the genuine dating sites. There are 25 year olds who are adamant that the man they want is 30 years old maximum, there are 25 year olds who say they are prepared to consider men from 25 to 60 and there are those who are admant that their man must be at least 20 years older as they are fed up with young men cheating on them and being layabouts. If they get an older man he will have little chance of finding a better girl than them.
Also, some want to stay at home and look after the family and some want to work. I am in communication with a lady who told me: "I will not stay at home cooking and reading magazines!" She has broken her back paying for her studies and is due to get a Masters degree in the spring/summer. She is not going to waste it just like that.
Also, I found something interesting. One (very genuine) 28 year old girl put a profile in an international dating site saying that she would consider a man up to 55 years old. She also put a profile in a local dating site saying that she wanted a man of around 30. She has also said that her man could come from abroad or be local. It stands to reason, with the average life expectancy of FSU men against Western men as follows:
Ukraine: 65
Russia: 63
UK: 79
USA:76
They will get a few more years out of a UK guy, let alone the guy's health while he is still around.
Hi guys!
I missed you :)
about the age difference: i know one ukrainian couple: he's 36 she's 19-20, he has no money at all and he's an alcoholic, but they are married and have a kid. But i think it's just because she's not very smart girl :)
My aunt had a big difference with her husband, but they got married when she was 45 or even more, in this age it doesn't feel such wrong as when a girl is 20-25...
