Have been writing this as an answer on another forum earlier this year.
I wouldn't waste too much time on free sites, there is too much noise, and a lot of writing for less results.
Fdate is somewhat acceptable, but still a lot of writing for less results.
Ukrainedate.com is OK,,, but a lot of fake profiles, fishing for your email address,,
which they will use for baiting you with that nice profile, and some pleasant personal letters....
When you have swallowed the bait and she has got you hooked,, your lady will try reeling you in on a pay per letter site..
A site like UADreams.com, are among those having a lot of baits out on Ukrainedate.com
If you are able to see through the baits,,, there are a lot of legit women there.
Much better is freeukrainianwomen.com
They are weeding out most fake profiles before listing them,,,,
and if someone slips through, they are usually removed within a day or two.
It is in my opinion the best dating site for finding a Ukraine woman on the Internet today.
A lot of serious women,, and you can set up a very good profile with lots of photos,,
(photos are very, very, no, actually extremely important to do right)
And they have online translation with back-translating, using google translate, + many more features..
No other site has given me more results, per hour spent on correspondence.
And I would concentrate all my searching in a relatively small geographical area, over a 3-6 months period of time.
Without a rental car,,, max radius of 200 km / 130 miles around Kiev, Moscow or St. Petersburg
With a rental car,,, max radius of 400 km / 250 miles around Kiev, Moscow or St. Petersburg
That will make it possible for you to have a short meeting with several prospects in a short amount of time.
Doing it this way, with a lot of correspondence and Skype + daily messaging,,
you should easily have a list of 5-10 very good prospects when you go there for a week or so.
You will not regret doing your homework before starting out,,,, I promise... smile
These are my experience with Ukrainedate.com. At the beginning, I get many contacts. All eventually stopped communication. Some were fake profiles. Many contacts were deleted the next day. No one there has tried to transfer me over to a pay per letter site. I have used UADreams.com a bit with a few contacts. Did not find any of those contacts on Ukrainedate.com, but did find some of the contacts on pay per letter sites like Natashaclub and DreamRussianwoman.com
Freeukrainianwomen.com is an affliate of dmpayment.com
Hi, you are probably going to get accused of promoting sites here. I looked at the website 'free' ukrainian women
Good and bad things:
1- It is not full of model photos, most look like home made photos.
2- The profile descriptions are pretty good, providing the girls are being honest. A scammer or not serious girl will not bother to complete a full profile.
3- It is good for the girls to see more substantial information about the men, too
4- Good features like the Wall, forum, for both men and women.
5- The thing is how good this site is at weeding out scammers in comparison with that other site Ukrainedate.com, for instance
6- A lot of ordinary looking girls, not model types everywhere.
7- It does not use that standard get-rich-quick FSU dating agency website template that many like Lovessa use.
8- What do the scammer data bases say about this site?
9- Monthly payments - good. Not pay-per-everything
10- How clean is the data?
11-I do not see facility to get girls verified by them showing their identity papers and then get a 'seal of approval'. It says that you can ask the managers to check individual girls, so that means they have not done it before despite their claims that all members are verified before their profiles are published.
12- Not expensive, except for their Platinum membership.
13- Why would they call their site Free Ukrainian women? If the site is not free, do they say the women are?
14- Bad: bikini galleries, why would men approach women on the basis of their bikini photos and who trusts women who want to attract you with bikini photos?
15- It has a lot of features that other sites do not have.
16- I registered and gave my email address. They have not spammed me yet.
However, I will always choose a simple, no frills, site that really tries hard to remove scammers over a site with all kinds of fancy features but with little control over scammers.
I have been in Ukrainedate.com Yes a few girls there tried to take me to a pay-per-everything site, mostly UAdreams, a complete scam of a site!
In Ukrianedate, it is true, many were girls that just stopped communicating. At least it means they were not scammers as the latter want to keep you connected to them.
Many profiles do not last, in Ukrainedate, as the administrators do a lot of work removing scammers.
Many profiles were made with stolen photos from VK. I used to tell the administrators and they removed the girl the same day. On scam sites like UADreams, you can show them Western Union documents showing that you sent £3000 to one of their girls who said she would come to to your country and never turned up, plus information about her in scammer data bases, they will still not remove her from their site!
2: “A scammer or not serious girl will not bother to complete a full profile.”
Not always true! An impatient or stupid beginner will not take the time,,, but a scammer planning to make a career out of scamming foreign men, will have a full and complete profile. She will tell her story in a way to include as many men as possible.
She will be a woman for all tastes, but a wife for none!
During the 18 months I used freeukrainianwomen.com, I came across maybe 10 or so, non serious women.
Not necessarily scammers since they didn't ask for anything, but at least not genuinely interested in finding a man for marriage.
And they were all removed, usually within in a day or two, only a couple made it through a week or longer.
But they sometimes deleted serious women also, for seemingly using "not proper language" with men they got into some kind of conflict with.
The woman moderators are from FSU, mostly very nice and quick to respond,, sometimes told about their own experiences in the forum.
On Ukrainedate, I used to report fake profiles every day, but gave up after a while. I just decided to ignore them.
There is a ton of them fishing for your mail address, with a bunch of new ones registering every day.
Someone register a lot of these profiles, let the profile behave nicely for a day or two, then hide this profile for a month or two.
After this incubating period they have a seemingly verified profile that has been active for a long time.
But there are thousands of legit woman there also.
You will find that a lot of women register across all sites, sometimes with different names and photos.
Still can be legit,, and some of them have good reasons for doing so also.
I wrote and met with some women doing this.
But as I said earlier,,, Best Value per hour of writing was from freeukrainianwomen.com, then UkraineDate.com and also Fdate.com
I bought the top premium membership on all of the larger dating sites,,,, from ForeignAffair,, PrettyWoman,, all the way to Mamba and so on.
A small price to pay for finding the right woman in a relatively short amount of time.
I knew 18 months ago, that I would have the divorce documents ready in September 2014.
So that was my timeframe for finding at least 3 women,, that were all good enough for me to marry with.
And what lovely women I met with during these months,,,,
Dating all of them, was like being in heaven,,, choosing only one, like being in hell....
I found my former Ukraine wife on the Internet also, in 1999,,,,, well, talk about differences from today.
Just wish I had the same opportunities for understanding and searching for a wife earlier in my life also.
Anyway, all of my long relationships were with "top of the class women", ambitious, intelligent, beautiful and later had great careers in their lives.
But the one I'm marrying with next week is the best match I ever encountered,, just sorry I met with her so late in life.
On UADreams, I see nothing about sending money to the ladies (other than the rather high priced gift selections). The site warns people never to send money. Also, since they do not allow sharing of the email, phone, nor address information (not even the last names), it would not be possible to send money to the ladies.
I did read a case of someone using the site several years ago and arranged to meet a lady who he had corresponded with. She acted very coldly during the visit while he spent money to wine and dine her during his visit. He felt like he had been cheated, but the site says that they do not control the lady's attitude and personality.
"You will find that a lot of women register across all sites, sometimes with different names and photos.
Still can be legit,, and some of them have good reasons for doing so also.
I wrote and met with some women doing this."
Really? I am interested to know why they do this. What did they tell you?
With UAdreams, the scam is not sending money to the ladies. You send it to the agency directly! Don't you see it is a pay-per-everything site?
They are scammers from the time they place ladies in other sites to pull the men to their site. Enter UADreams in Google and you will find all the references to them.
I tried everything from Elena models (a waste) to pay per letters, free sites. .. I met my wife right here and she had model pictures. She was a model. Fiance.com is obviously where I had the best luck.
So it is partly a matter of luck. I have never thought that you could really find a wife in one of those girls who look like a model or that she can be much younger than you but it happened to you, that is good. However, you also make your luck yourself: 'seek and you will find'
There are people in this forum, like TomZ, who tell you that you have to look only on a set criteria (determined by him) but he has failed for a very long time and you succeeded. I think I will go for your method. But I am still reluctant with the model looking girls :-) or sites like fiance.com
Tom Shea - I've met many models and model looking girls as well.
One model looking girl told me that almost everyone accused her of being a scammer because they found her portfolio page online. She was a model! Models need to find someone too. We had a chuckle about it because everyone wrote her off as a scammer and here I was meeting with her and enjoying her company.
Learn how to use Google image search. Google can be your best friend at times. Google her name, email, home address, pictures. Anything you have on her.
WS - you've failed because you've set your sites on too low an age group. You're in your 50s and targeting young ladies in their 20s. They are still not sure what they want out of life yet.
Tom Shea has succeeded because he's chosen a reasonable age difference. He's in his 50s and his wife is 35.
A young lady in her 20s in Ukraine still has much of her life in front of her. Many of them want to move to the West. Immigration to these countries is difficult. So sure they will play up to you and tell you that they are interested in marriage and a family. In most cases you will just be used as an entry ticket to the UK.
So you're in a catch 22.
Part of the reason you do trial living in the UK is you want to see if you get on together. When you wanted to boot your woman out she wanted to stay, even with you because the alternative she had was a life of poverty in Russia. I am sure it was quite traumatic for her when you kicked her out of your house and back on a plane to Russia.
What is this talk of failure or success??? Is being married a 'success'??? Just because you get married to a FSU girl or anywhere for that matter, it doesn't mean success.......since I know many who have since got divorced. I would rather think about it has being happy or finding happiness.
The real 'work' is not finding the girl...it is keeping the girl!!!
I have tried many sites similar to Tom Shea.....to me they are all the same, not much difference. The key ingredient is the GUY.....those with realistic expectations, positive makeup and a lot of luck will have better chances......
I have to agree with you on that point. Keeping the girl is what matters.
So far for my experience, the free sites have ended up with just scammers (the translatioon fee one in most cases). The pay per letter sites, I get hundreds of messsages. So I guess hundreds of women want to marry me. Too bad I am not a rich oil sheik. I write to a small number, but hard to get them away from the agency. The monthly fee sites, so far is not looking too good. After a large number of contacts at the beginning after registering, the contacts have started to dwindle. The contacts have for the most part, refrained from professing true love (I guess that is a good aspect of it). But I seem to get many video chat requests (not Skype but the pay per minutes type) from the ladies at the monthly fee sites.
Maybe it is because I have bleak expectations, not outgoing, and some recent bad luck that is against me?
It takes two people to make a couple, and it takes two people to make a relationship work!! The guy is only 50% of the equation,, and even if he tries twice as hard to make things work,,, it won’t help if the woman is a zero!
You need to understand that, if you are unable to go to live with the girl in her country, the ONLY way that you can bring her to your country and she can stay with you is to marry her, whether you think the best option is to marry her or not.
But yes, once you have her with you, the real job is to keep her. If she does not really want to be with you, you have to let her go, as on my trial periods with girls where sometimes it was me who decided it was not going to work, sometimes it was her, sometimes both agreed.
Your other option is to spend 20 years with virtual girlfriends a few thousand miles away, like TomZ. Some loving relationship that is. If you believe that TomZ cannot be with an FSU woman by choice, you believe in Father Christmas.
You know what I wrote in my profile? Besides talking about me, where it says "what do you want in a woman? " I wrote " I want to meet the woman with the most beautiful inside world on earth". There's power in writing. Many times in my life I've written down things that seemed unrealistic, then gotten them. That is the woman I've met, the most positives, happy, loving woman I've ever known
Why is WS caught up on this 20 yr thing? Rick4girl has been travelling to the FSU longer than me - 30 years.
And no they're not "virtual relationships". They're real relationships. If a relationship would progress to the point of marriage and family, I, we would consider that that point whether it would be better for me to live with her in her country (man guys do) or for her to immigrate to my country.
The key here is to proceed with caution. Don't let yourself be used as a free ride into your country.
WS has done trial living in the UK and it's cost him a lot. I've done trial living in her country and it's cost me very little. If you can't get on with her in her country, how in the world are you going to live together in your country?
