rb probably got suckered in with the advertising. You know that Eastern European women are really interested in Western men. He thought to himself with his little money, Oh yeah I'll go and bring back a wife!
If you're looking for paper-based 'excellence', then you're looking for dominant "win" roles. So you might ask the question to yourself, how do I win 'them' or just her over.
In the U.S. some years back, race is a soft limit for caucasian women in who they choose to date. Studies say first on their list is white men (naturally), then the lowest response rates tends to be to blacks. Income earning status made a difference for some surveys in regards to response rates by a few percentages.
So there's implied preferences in regards to culture as well. If a white girl likes rap but not country, it is likely that she is ok with dating a black man. Since I'm Korean, if a white girl likes K-pop, then if I like K-pop and can make conversation about it, then there is more commonality.
Being able to share a common culture doesn't lead to a submissive role for a woman however. If she's into psychology, and you have a Master's or higher in psychology, then you're in a leading role in regards to the topic, because of your expertise. I read a lot of psychology research when I was younger, so I don't care much for it now, since I prefer gaining wisdom from the Bible. So if a man should lead, he has to want to lead in whatever position he finds himself in.
So a man can be a leader in a field or niche of culture because of new research, innovation, a higher threshold of expertise, better personality traits than most men (for example, it may be said of him, "he's so funny"), etc.
As for winning Ukrainian girls, you've heard the major problems. I don't know what opens doors more but I think learning the language does so more than the income that you have, so you can learn the culture and the day to day life stories and problems. Second might be relationship skills provided through your personality. I would say third is income but of course, you can't even start unless you have enough of a baseline income.
I've had a co-worker tell me that it's easy to marry a girl in the plains or the south in the U.S. than in Northern Virginia. Haven't really pursued anything like that but I do see some advantages in terms of integration issues, such as church, language, etc.
From what I'm reading, it seems like fiance.com has a pretty good success rate if you're not too picky. I still think FSU girls are some of the most pretty girls that prefer the marriage track, in the world. I think at least 30% of the problems can be resolved if the language problem is resolved in the courtship part of the relationship.
"rb probably got suckered in with the advertising. You know that Eastern European women are really interested in Western men. He thought to himself with his little money, Oh yeah I'll go and bring back a wife!
No one wants to be with him."
What a fool. His success depends on others failures that he makes up.
"If she's into psychology, and you have a Master's or higher in psychology, then you're in a leading role in regards to the topic, because of your expertise."
Many profiles seem to state an interest in psychology. Perhaps it originates from the themes from many of the literature works from that area. Also, some college students declare psychology as a major. I am not sure if they are into "mind games" or want to become a therapist for the mental patients in the country. It seems to be a "default" social science choice for a major.
From the earlier post, it seems that familiarity with the region language and culture is first. Followed by dating skills. And then your financial resources. It can be said that having connections to a specific area does give you a better advantage. As for my case, I cannot say that I have an advantage in any region of the world. None directly with my ancestor's homeland which I have little affiliation with. None with my birthplace which is really a foreign culture to me having left there when I was a toddler. None really in my current residence area. And obviously none with areas with which I have never been to.
"From what I'm reading, it seems like fiance.com has a pretty good success rate if you're not too picky."
Where did you get this information from? I could not find it on this website nor any of the other dating forum discussions.
threading_signals made some good points. Yes, Fiance.com is a good site compared to others in finding a bride and yes, dont be so picky! if you are not perfect specimen of a human then how can you expect to get a perfect specimen of Lady?
Yes, you do need an above average income to get into this foreign dating experience.
yes, knowing the language, culture and traditions gives you a huge advantage!
good to know yourself well before coming to different country. know what you want and your goals and be willing to engage fully
without reservation. sometimes you strike out but every "no" brings you closer to a "yes"
Ukrainian wives, since most of you won't know are submissive. They will tell you "do as you wish". Then when you get the answer wrong they will allow you to choose again and again until you choose the "right" answer, the one they wanted.
Most of the profiles that I have come across do not appear to convey as being completely submissive in the relationship. Many have their own ideas and opinions. I am also asked why I am on the dating site. I even tell some of them that it may not be "right" for me to even to pursue her (because of my own peculiarities and background).
I seem to getting contacted by nearly every age group now, from the upper teens to the sixties (from regions outside Europe too). I think many ladies want to "move upward".
The term Submissive woman is being taken out of context and it is a bit derogatory towards women. It had been written that Eve was created to be Adam's helper. That is obviously contradictory to the idea that women should be objects of manipulation. ( ladies be glad you're not in Iran where women are not allowed to watch the USA vs Iran volleyball match ) Therefore, the proper key word shall be SUPPORTIVE. As this word denominates the proper place of women in conjunction with man in holy matrimony. How do you convince your queen to support your judgments and rules? Hope you're smart enough to figure that out but if you don't know or have the skills, then you need a SUBMISSIVE woman.
submissive in the Ukrainian sense is one who understands that the man makes the decisions and such
and that he is the boss. of course the man should not abuse this position or he will lose it.
"submissive in the Ukrainian sense is one who understands that the man makes the decisions and such

EXACTLY the above
Supportive? of course she'll be supportive or she's out. A woman can be supportive and bossy in the same time. There are submissive even effeminate guys who like bossy ladies run their lives. Each to his own. But submissive woman has nothing to do with Adam and Eve LOL or the politically correct liberal crap. The term is not derogatory at all. It's simple, if the woman does not respect you enough to accept your lead, you move on, there is plenty of fish. If no woman accepts your leadership, then the problem is you.
@ Rick
I strongly agree with you on that. I'm just trying to convey the proper words and tone, essentially when both parties are getting set up for success and not into misunderstandings later on.
