If a man has sex with another man then he is gay, if a woman has sex with another woman she is lesbian, to be bisexual is to be both gay/lesbian and straight, as is said "swing both ways", one way being gay/lesbian, the other being straight
lets get one thing very clear here. girls hold hands in Ukraine all the time. It means absolutely NOTHING. They are friends, nothing more.
at night you see it even more for safety.
I can remember boys wanting to hold my hand while walking until were 12-15. nothing gay about it. They just love that someone is giving a shit about them.
You cannot apply western judgement here. Often drunk male friends will wall down the street with arms around each other. They arent gay, they are trying to keep each other from falling down!
4re_geo misunderstanding of social behaviors abroad had given him a distorted perception of acceptable human relationships in Ukraine.
Girls holding hands... Nothing homo about that.
Men hugging and kissing each other on salutation... Nothing homo there neither.
However; most of us can agree that there is a double standard. A bi-sexual guy is,,, still gay but a bi-sexual gal is not a lesbian.
" thats really not a big number. Ive sex with..."
Rick,,, you about the rule of 3? If it is a girl then you MULTIPLY BY 3!!!
Do a research before posting. Remember the...VAT? LOL )))
kaiserdag: it's actually a small number. In the late 80's before the collapse of Soviet Soyuz, I spent about a year in Budapest as a teenager. I knew a guy in late 20's, he must have had sex with at least a thousand, maybe two thousand. Girls were extremely permissive, you could walk up to a girl to a bus station and ask her out. I know other eastern European countries were the same way, it was part of the culture, sex was easy. Forward a couple decades later and things cannot have changed that much.

Often the boys stop around 10 or so with a male role model but this one boy did this up until a year ago at nearly 15 because his sister would be on one side of me so he had to be on the other. You must remember that the kids I am dealing with generally havent really had anyone to show them love and affection so they crave attention.
The girls do it all the time. not a big deal. holding their hand shows you give a shit about them and there is absolutely nothing more to it to be implied.
remember, Ukraine and Russia are very homophobic. 2 grown men holding hands is gonna be a problem but the other things, nope
