Dear Gall Toad, FYI I enjoy peeing sitting down. At least dear old mom did'nt raise me to piss in the wind as your Cro-magnon mommy must have done as you made your weeky forays out of the swamps.
Further, you do not know me or Lucy. Further I obviously made the mistake of giving an iota of creedance to your lame big man financial planner opiones.
In any event here is what Lucy said to me (By the way this will be the last of our conversations that I will share in this forum):
"Yes, Steve I agree with you on this. You're very
diplomatic when opening new subjects, but I think money and
sex are not much to talk about... we should make them both
together, not just talk about! :))
Well, as long as it is something common..."
SS> Lucy would you like to wait until I visit before we
discuss these topics, or would you like to begin to speak
about them now?
"Ok, tell me what you want to discuss. You
begin, I will continue. Initiative comes from man :)"
So you see that here is a good example of love covering a multitude of errore. You may also get a glimpse of what an extraordinary woman Lucy is.
Gall Toad. how about a wager: I am with Lucy long after any half witted bimbo you may end up with has long ago dumped her boorish pompus man (you).
Did Lucy set me straight in a diplomatic way, or what?
Ens, you done the business :o))
She reacted in one way I predicted :o)
"You
begin, I will continue. Initiative comes from man :)"
For any new people here, that line alone is a bright insight into the way an FSU woman views realtionships !!! Learn it, digest it, memorise it, because the first time you go to the FSU, there will be a test !! ;o))
"TO Pee or Not to PEE"
"Whether it is nobler to wizz in the wind, or to suffer the drips and splashes" ;o))
Thats why Ive never been married because I just REFUSE to give in to any womans demands like alot of these asslickers that I know here where I live. All I hear when I go to my friends homes is "yes dear, when and how do you want it done?" Meanwhile they are some of the unhappiest men I know. A bunch of pussywhipped fools. I always get a good laugh at it especially when they tell me how lucky I am, lol. Their women tell their men to jump and the men reply, "how high dear?" Thank god I was brought up in the city where if you didn't kick ass you got yours kicked on a daily basis. Kind of toughened me up a little I guess.
ensata- you can chalk my lady up right next to your Lucy.
I got a friend who, after he got married, his wife had already laid out the timetable for having kids, visits home (Canada), furthering her education (she's a nurse), and etc.
He's happy. Not too bright, but happy.
Geez. I'd be doing 20 to life, if I had to be with her.
I forgot to say one thing in my (too long) post : ask her if she wants to marry in Russia or in your country. You will be amazed by the reaction : My Natasha didn't say it but she deseperatley hoped to marry in St P with all her friends and family around her/us. I didn't make the mistake to impose something but I asked her this a little late I think (but not too late ; thanks the Gods!)
"ensata- you can chalk my lady up right next to your Lucy."
Best put my Natash` on that plaque too :o))
He is "Doing life" slow :o))
You dont get that for murder these days !!! Get her well insured and by by baby :o))
Get married in her country (so her Mum can be there of course !!) and then have it blessed and a party in your own country for your friends and family when you get back :o)
Hopefully we'll all be going through a lotta chalk here and need a bigger chalk board!.
Not meaning to be putting a religous spin on things, I will quote from Proverbs 31: "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband does safely trust in her.. She will do him good, not evil all the days of her life. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eats not the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praises her." (Sad but my children are calling their mother anything but blessed. And I am working overtime to keep their attitude positive towards her.)
Should things work out for us, and we decide to marry, I will want to marry her in Moldova. After all she would be leaving her family and friends behind to be with me. Here in the U.S. we would have another ceremony and or a party with my family and friends. I only hope that Lucy's mom will survive long enough to see this happen. I do want her mother to know that her daughter will be happy and in good hands before she passes on.
Ensata,
My 'never diplomatic or insensitive' comments had absolutely nothing to do with Lucy, mate....
I'm glad you are happy....and I do wish you the best!!
TimH,
LOL, damn ...you stole my "to pee or not to pee sitting down' idea
There is nothing wrong with double or multiple weddings...heck, get married every week if it floats your boat, lol...
I guess it's all up to each couple to where or how many weddings to endure before going on to their honeymoon.
It is a lot more practical to hold two weddings than it is to have one wedding and expect both families to attend.
That way both the bride and groom get a first hand experience of what the other one endured with the other family, lol...:))
Being the 'curious George' that I am, I'd like to see what a traditional FSU wedding is all about...(even if it is my own, lol)
I'm with you in being curious about a traditional FSU wedding. I just hope that I won't have to parade around naked with a hood over my head (while everyone marvels at my manhood) or someting weird.
Sorry for the gruesome image guys. When it gets this late I sometimes just don't feel like the Man of the Cloth that I am supposed to be!
I have a couple of questions to ask concerning getting married in Russia. By getting married there, Doesn't that screw up your fiance visa to which you must now go with the spousal visa? And also, being a divorced man like many others here, are second marriages in Russia a more toned down affair as they seem to be here in the U.S.A. ( compared to first marriage) ????????
I think that would most definitly screw up your fiance visa Dale. If things work out for me I will marry her here. Then when we eventually go back to Russia I will marry her there. It will make her family happy and on the darker side, if she decides to hi-tail it back to Russia she still has me to deal with as we will be married in both countries.
Dale E when my friend was getting married with her husband, they got married here in Ukraine, and then got married there in the USA, at the church, and all his relatives were present. My friend's parents were present at the wedding here, though it wasn't a big wedding, just regestering and that's all. So it didn't spoil her fiancee visa at all, so maybe you should go and check it more carefully???:)
If you apply for fiance visa, you cant get married in Ukraine or Russia. She can leave her country as a bride only, without being officially married . Of course you can arrange a sort of a celebration here for relatives, may be have a church wedding, but it has to be unofficial one.
If you want to get married officially( get registered in ZAGS) then you will have to apply for spouse visa.
By official marriage I mean change of a surname and getting marriage certificate. In Russia and Ukraine church weddings are not official.
Usually people have unofficial weddings in Russia and Ukraine and then get officially married in states. This is for fiance visa.
