But does it really matter mate :o))
The FSU is Pal, as I have said, and yeah, stupid me, of course Japan is region 3 :o// I only worry about the US/UK and FSU as I wont be visiting nay of the other regions any time soon :o))
"If usage is growing, you're going to have to upgrade the distribution network eventually, anyway."
One of the biggest problems with the UK mate, is that instead of improving things to cope with demand, they just downgrade the service for the same price, and spread the already annoying problems to a wider audience of users !!
You UK folks need to learn to do it the AMERICAN way!
1. First, let the market derive a solution
2. Now regulate that market with nonsense rules derived from sources that have nothing to do with power generation and distribution
3. When a power supply issues appears, blame it all on the private power industries, and their mismanagement.
Andrew Jackson had it right many years ago. No Federal Reserve Bank. I think if Jackson would have had his way, he would have shot Nicholas Biddle. When you centralize money, you centralize control over all markets. Way to much power for one person to dictate to. Look how screwed up the IMF is, it is no different a creature than our federal reserve. There is a great book The Creature from Jekyll Island. I learned more about our economy and workings of foreign economies than I ever did in college and it's not a dry read.
Same will hapopen when the US makes it the "United States of Earth" Nas :o)
Then there will only be one bank for the whole planet :o)
Hope the Martians use dollars !!!
Money, first and foremost, is a medium of communication, conveying the information we call "price". Government control of the money supply is censorship, a violation of the First Amendment. Inflation is a lie.
You can go futher back than Biddle. Hamilton was the primary instigator of federal banking.
I'll have to have a look at that book, though.
However, most of my friends view FDR as the greatest villian in American history. However, the roots of federal control in the everyday lives of American citizens began with George Washington (Whiskey Rebellion, anyone?).
Any of you gentlemen familiar enough with Chisinau, Moldova to know if there is a place that rents DVD players and English language movies in the city? I really want to show my girl one of my favorite movies...Braveheart. She is going to check with her cousin, but I thought I would ask you guys.
