Hey, Happy Fathers day to all you Dads out there! If you have young kids still, do them a great favor and pick em' great Mom.
My kids age 6, 7, 8, 15, 18, and 22 (and 1 grand daughter) are the joy of my life, my hope and my joy! Without them I would be empty. N0.1 in my FSU gal search is that she will be a great (not just good) mother to my younger kids.
Have a great time with your kids of whatever age today. Steve
Thank you for congratulations ensata I will give my congratulation to my Dad as soon as I see them:) Though he will be rather amused, as this holiday is not known here in Ukraine.
Congratulation to you!! :)
Pitchka, thank you for your congratulations. Lucy had never heard of Father's day either before I called herr this morning! She was also quite amused by it. But alswished me a happy father's day. My kids made me breakfast and each gave me gifts they made or bought.
Thanks Ensata! My little girl is 8 years old now and she especially called me from my mothers house just to congratulate me and to tell me how special I am to her. She really knows how to hit me right in the heart =))
Now I just want to get my Nat here to me to help me raise her to be the best lady she can be. My Nat has many special feelings for her and that is one of many reasons she has become the owner of my heart, my two very very special ladies..
Happy Fathers day all. I hope all have a million more. My Dad was and is my moral compass for my life. He gave me love and guidance and a swift kick in the ass when I needed it. I'm headed out to meet my daughter for lunch, which will turn out to be an arguement on who's paying, because I won't let her. At 21 she just doesn't realize she has already given me the best gift in life. The only true and unconditional love I've ever had.
nasfan- My Father has always been my idol. Intelligent, athletic (played football and hockey at UMass), well liked, strong values, able to be tuff, knows how to you his anger in the proper sence. The dirty old guy still loves my mother like a teen. Goes to church every Sunday but dosen't agree with much of what I say! A real man.
Had a great Father's day! Son and daughter w/ grandkids both came over and had grill-out. Temperature was an enjoyable 74F. and sunny. I think the best part was those damn cicadas have finally died off where I can spend sometime outside. Had them bad, in some places bugs shells 2" deep.Their mating calls in the afternoon was almost deafening. Glad I won't have to see them for another 17 yrs. I explained my search for a FSU woman to them and couldn't really tell if they were pro or con. All I could promise them is that I will search for someone no younger than them. I'm 46yrs. Son is almost 29 and daughter 25. lol.
Dale As I was reading your post I thought at first that you were explaining your FSU woman search to the damn cicadas! Thought you were getting desperate for compansionship or something!
When I frst explained the Lucy thing to my 20 yr old daughter she lectured me for a bit on how I should have done more to make the marriage work between her mother and my self, I was patient. Then after she had her say she said "Dad, I want you to know that i support you 100% in what you do". Now my 18 year old daughter, who really feels for me, wanted to make sure that I was not 1) getting scammed 2) that Lucy was not to young for me 48, 31, 3)that I could afford it. She is solidily behind me. My 23 year old actually suggested that I look for a Russian bride before she had any idea that I was actually in hte process of writing to FSU women.
My 15 year old son (who gets along with his mother very well) was supporitve from the very beginning he said "Dad, you deservr to be happy too". He also has told me on numerous ocassions that Lucy Lu was quite the cutie! I think we have the same tastes in women (intelligent, petite, cute, energetic and kind). If he wasn't absolutely surrounded continously by the hottest chicks from grades 8 - 10 I would be worried about his liking Lucy too much lol!
Dale, I think older kids perspective towards us is much like ours to them: "If your happy, I'm happy for you. Just don't something stupid!"

Every good preacher uses a three point sermon! But actually I never do (I can not count so high) - some critize me for not being more traditional, but some are fine with it.
I would be interested in your list of criteria for determining if your lady will be a great mother for your children and how you will verify her credentials. You're not going to take all the children over there to meet her, are you?
Personnally, I only have one so he will go with me on my 2nd trip to meet her and her son. I will at least briefly get to see how they interact.
I don't know if it has been brought up before, but I suppose I would be concerned about available health care in the case of bringing my children abroad.
Do you have health insurance already that would cover such situations?
Yes, I just followed up on mine. My insurance would cover me, but only for reembursement. (I.E. I have to pay the hospital bill, but my insurance would reemburse me for the cost after I get back and IF I make sure I follow procedures AND get all the documentation right BEFORE I leave).
I think I may get travelers insurance just to cover the worst case scenario. Well, worst case OTHER than death.
