Jet, I hate to correct you, but during a debate Ron Paul said 911 was an inside job. I was waiting for his explanation Rudy running his mouth, tried to steal some thunder. Which didn't give Paul a chance to retort. After the debate Paul got to clarify his statement, which was to the extent of our idiotic policy, which from the Inside of the first Bush and Clinton administration set the way for 911. The CIA had information on the hijackers but due to the walls that Clinton set up it was not communicated to the FBI. What kind of crap is that? This May I will vote for Ron Paul here in Indiana.
We dropped the ball in 1979 with Iran and the hostage crisis. Carter lost his nevre, stabbed the Shah in the back, the same guy both the US and UK supported but when the over throw came neither country came to his aid. I was in Berberra Somalia when the embassy was taken and we were the first ship on station. In a matter of two weeks we had enough air power sitting at their front door to make them release the hostages, but Khomeni knew Carter has his finger on the Chicken Switch. We can thank the UN and France for giving that piece of shit asylum. Now look at their leader now. This guy will start a huge war in the middle east. I never thought I would see a nuclear weapon detonated in my lifetime. Now I'm positive it will happen.
After the breakup of the Soviet Union too much of that technology hit the black market. It's a bit unnerving to say the least. I'm almost willing to bet Israel will be the one to get hit, then all hell will break loose. We won't be able to restrain them, nor should we. It will get Ugly. Teheran and Damascus will get hit and hit hard. This is one time I hope I'm totally wrong, but I don't thinks so. The biggest mistake the first Bush made was trying to be a peacekeeper in the first gulf war by begging Isreal not to retaliate to Hussiens Scud attacks. Horseshit, he should have let them in the game and that war and a lot of the bullshit that's going on today would have been over. It was idiotic to hold back Isreal, that made them look weak in the eyes of the Arab nations, now look, they give and give up territory and still are under the same attacks.
I never ran into much of a problem in Ukraine with people regarding the war in Iraq. I did in France. I thought I was going to jail, but the French Police officer saw the guy throw his cigarette at me. I never worry about travelling abroad. This is one septic that isn't afraid to travel because we are the most hated nation on earth. Though where I have traveled I never felt hated by anyone except one Arab asshole in Paris.
Ron Paul never used the words "inside job" during the debate. And there is a BIG difference between a perceived lack of communication between two government agencies (As there may well have been, given the vast amount of "intelligence" collected on so many - we all have 20/20 hindsight.) and what most of us would consider an INSIDE JOB.
Those who believe it was an "inside job" feel that the CIA intentionally set the whole thing up in order to give the US government an excuse to attack Iraq. They feel that the CIA actively took part in the planning, that the CIA planted explosives in the structural support of the World Trade Center, that the debri at teh Pentagon was no sufficient to account for a plane the size of the one used and the damage was instead caused by planted explosives, etc. etc. etc. These are the EXTREME conspiracy theorists and Ron Paul is certainly not one of them.
A lack of communication and a history of lousy foreign policy are altogether different than the situation being an "inside job" and, again, Ron Paul never used those words.
Glad to see that yuou are voting for him in Indiana's primary though. I also voted for him in Wisconsin's primary.
After the debate, Fox News attempted to smear Ron Paul by claiming that he contended that 9/11 was an inside job. But to find out what Ron Paul REALLY said follow this link to the debate and play Part 2 - to hear the candidates OWN WORDS!
Here is the exact confrontation between Ron Paul and Rudy Giuliani at the South Carolina debates (specifically as you claimed to correct me and where you refered to Ron Paul claiming it was an inside job). Show me where Ron Paul used the words "inside job" or where he even implied such a thing.
The video speaks for itself. He simply didn't make that reference. That he did was mearly a smear campaign by Fox News and others.
