By the way, I bought the $399 pack of 100 letters on AnastasiaWeb, and I have met 4 of the girls in person, in Ukraine. 3 were nice girls, 1 was a scammer.
(The scammer got me a flat in Odessa and received a finders-fee from the owner-- a kickback. When I said I would give the payment to the owner, instead of to her, the scammer’s friend started telling me how they had paid a deposit for the flat, and that they would be getting the deposit back from the owner when I paid the owner.... oh, boy. It was their finder’s fee. Nothing illegal about marking-up and reselling a flat rental-- but rather sketchy to use your body and looks as the lure for this mark up!)
Ok, but then the nice girls.... The PHOTOS! The girls weren’t scammers-- but Anastasia web affiliated agencies allow/encourages/demand/CREATE photos that are miles from reality. All photos are tricky to really get a feel for the girl, from many sites-- but I have never seen anything like the Anastasia sites.
I am not trying to be mean at all, but some of the ‘very pretty’ girls from the site are really quite homely in person. Their letters were real, there words were real, their sense of humor was real. They met me in Odessa and didn’t ask for anything-- nice people. Um-- but the photos were not ‘really good pictures of them.’ Rather, the girls never looked like that before their photo met digital editing. I am not being mean-- but the photos were cleaned up a lot before posting.
So, the site is just a minefield. Am I exchanging letters with a girl that will write me forever, because she gets paid for each letter? Or, is this one real?
And, if she isn’t a pay-by-letter scammer, is that photo in any way like her?
And, it is pretty evil how they lock you away from contacting the girl. E-mail exchange? No. Phone numbers? No way-- you must pay them $40 to get it. Write a letter?
Then, there was the nice girl, that was pretty. Is it possible to meet someone? Yes. But, it is a minefield.
But, its so easy to use.... just put your credit card....the girls always write back...
I wrote to a Russian Lady who flies for Aeroflot, she told me no, but she told me to avoid the younger women. After Joining Metrodate.com (American?) I got a response from Faglia Kortokova, she said that she was coming to the US to work and that perhaps we could meet. I am 66 and retired. The day prior to her departure from Moscow she wrote me that she had over spent and needed money which I could wire to her via Western Union. She had attached copies of her flight data and her passport. She was 26 years old, and being a bit careful, I went to Delta Airlines to pay for her flight (no refunds) the delta agent told me someone had purchased a RT Business ticket for her and it was paid for with a Mastercard. Poor sucker he lives in Stamford, CT. I did not purchase a ticket or send money... I tried to contact TSA but they have a phone menu that The terrorists must have set up.
Over the years I have tried different agencies and have been most satisfied by Global Ladies. I also tried there sister site Russian Ladies but still had better responses through GL. Russian Ladies would be cheaper I think if the responses were as serious as GL. I tried both for a while at the same time and the letters I received from Russian Ladies died off while some of that occurred with GL but overall I have had better success, so figure to bite the dollar bullet and pay the per letter cost. Global Ladies is not perfect of course, but I find them customer friendly. A couple of times I had a problem purchasing tokens and was charged twice. I brought this to the attention of the agency and was immediately refunded. A couple of ladies I have written too were students although their profile profession said differently. One said translator and when I asked about this the lady said the agency was at fault. I believed her as I noticed this discrepancy on some other ladies I wrote to but did not directly ask about it. I've met some ladies over the years from GL so I find GL quite reputable. I will be traveling to Odessa in July to meet another, which perhaps is the subject of another post. I think though GL is a decent agency. The only thing they can not guarantee is love and marriage but then who can? Have fun and enjoy the experience… I find both Russia and the Ukraine to be lovely countries and look forward to my first experience in Odessa.
