@ LR
I didn't address that to you. My remarks is base on what I had read and my personal expiriences and to the general public
*I am not contracting myself . Let's not jump into erroneous conclussions based on our own personal biase. Just give her the benefit of the doubt" and see where it goes. Be optimistic and stop prejudicing.
* check her name and age against her passport or other for of ID. * not need to feel bad for asking. Feelings will not be hurt, we are all adults. " trust, but verify" sounds familiar ? Is a Russian proverb. Just do it!
If these girls are not being serious.... Move on. These hints happened seven with local girls.
To get a K visas . A medical examination is required.
finally i decided to put in my two cents to the whole fiance thing. I have been reading countless stories on here and i have been contacted by hundreds on the site. Needless to say, i have one (1) i stay in contact with and even that one i am only 50% sure that anything will ever come from it.
So i came up with some of my own additional rules besides the valid advice everyone else has in this forum.
While at first, it was fun to lead on the scammers/pro-daters to think they have me in their pocket, eventually this has gotten tiresome.
So in order to wead out unwanted potentials i started to follow some basic rules of engagement.
Number one: After a certain amount of writing (depending on who it is) i will request diverting to off site means of communication.
So far this has broken the deal with 99% of who i talked to. (So apparently they get money for writing or receiving letters, otherwise they would not be so hard on staying on the site and writing through it)
Number two: I will, so far NOT go to Russia or the Ukraine, mainly because of the ongoing conflict.
I request a "nearing" of each other on neutral grounds, lets say Poland or Turkey, which borders the Ukraine/Russia or whatever it will be after this is over.
Also very much a deal breaker if you are not going to take the trip there. (Even offering to pay for the trip for her, AFTER she arrives)
So in my case, easy give aways that they are just generating income is the proclaimed - i have no internet or vk or fb or email - other than this site.
While i let them know that every bum in Somalia under the bridge as a facebook account, claiming they do not have any other way is not even remotely plausible.
At the beginning it was fun to expose them, but as i mentioned, eventually it gets boring. It is actually more interesting to follow everyone in this forum then to read the same fake intro letter over and over (ok ok, slight variations)
Also offer them to pay for a visa and such after a few letters and see how many will jump on that train. MANY,some of the more pro-daters smell the rotten fish and will not take the bait.
Some things to say....
1.) 22 years old, looking for men 15-99 - right, you know from the start that this is BS
2.) Proclaiming love and such after 2-3 letters - sure and the earth is flat
3.) Sending their sexual dreams about you - oh come on, really?
4.) Reluctant to converse in more personal details - yeah sure, but on vk and fb they blurt out when they take s....
5.) English level, well just throw in a few phrases you know can not possibly be translated right.
6.) Circumventing any direct answers to your questions, like job details, friends etc. Compare with VK, FB, they all talk about it here,so why be so reluctant?
7.) Explain how poor you are to them, that is always a good way, i like pictures of old buicks, shabby house etc, debt at the bank, how the ex emptied your pockets, alimony you have to pay, adds fun to the game and see the rats leave the sinking ship.
Of course i have seen my share of video invites (yeah right,$1 a minute) re-occurring intro letters from declined girls weeks and months ago.
If you actually tell it to them, you might hear, oh yea, we have not talked in so long i just wanted to start from scratch. LOL
So right now i am at (4 months) 600 or so deleted messages, like i said, 1 contact that is a 50/50 for the moment, she is also not on the site alot.
As a VIP member i see the letter count going up, write it down, screenshot etc. And take a guess.
Reporting any scammer on this site resulted in nothing as they generate income.
About the lies - none is about the number i accept, ok, not being honest because someone is ashamed , e.g. of their income, living condition, i can deal with that, after all i am not disclosing my living conditions to her either - at least not that they are much better than what i said.
but a blunt lie, nope, i have been lied to by my ex wife for plenty of years, not doing it again.
One the matter of taking them off the site to see if they are scammers, that is only because you have been using scammer and pay per everything sites.
On my site, which is a reputable one and good at weeding out scammers, it is the opposite: the scammers will try to take you off the site (from the watchful eyes of the scammer detectors in the site) and take yout to 'private' conversations by email Skype, Viber, etc., where they start telling you that they have a holiday coming, English translation is expensive, mum is sick, etc.
The genuine and cautious girls tell you that they prefer some time talking on the website and then they will be happy to give their personal contact details when they think it is worth it and safe to do so.
The agency does not make any money from the volume of messages.
All ladies who send their email addresses on their first message, to several men, get removed from the site immediately. So the agency does not make money by losing attractive looking scammers.
"One the matter of taking them off the site to see if they are scammers, that is only because you have been using scammer and pay per everything sites. "
WS...would you be surprised if this guy is using THIS site( Fiance)???? You know, one that is a scammer and a pay for everything site!!!!
Reputable site???? hehhhhee There is only foolish men and foolish behaviors.
I don’t believe there is such a thing as a good site! There might be better ones or poorer ones,, but not good or honest. Why? They all use the same agencies,,, overlapping in some cities. The girls can be in several agencies too.
One advantage of this site with the VIP membership, is that you won’t spend a lot if you write a lot. But you still use up time.
One thing I should add,,,,, too many guys think,,, that if they get a girl off the website and on to private email or chat,,,,,, and if the girl doesn’t ask for money,,, then she is genuine and honest?! It’s a good sign,,, but perhaps she is just patient, and is setting you up for a big fall?
It takes a meeting in person, and you still must be careful,,,, especially if she is saying everything that you want to hear!
And No,,, sealing the deal with sex is not a guarantee either!
Use things like tin-eye and search for the same profile keywords across other sites (use quotations). I got a profile on vk.com and found a girl's birthday was "mistakenly" put into the records at mariya-club.
So far, scammed at anastasia, natashaclub, find-bride, mariya-club, hotrussianbrides etc. The list of scamming agencies go on. Your experience may vary if you travel first to the country and then try correspondence, but if the girl is attractive, you're mostly talking to the agency's agent or interpreter before the girl gets even remotely involved.
This type of email from customer service is very frequent:
"Good day mr. xxxxx. Thank you to let me know, there was really mistake in profile xxxxx and I have corrected it ( agency can upload profile only if they provide copy of passport. I have checked it and it seems there was really mistake during upload and I have corrected it). Thank you to pay my attention.
Mariya-club can not be responsible for the information that other websites upload.
Mr. xxxxx, ladies are real, mariya-club always verifies reality of ladies.
Mr. xxxxx, please pay attention that during registration, you have agreed with our rules that says return of credits is not possible.
If you have more questions, please let me know.
Mariya"
I suggest only certain agencies in certain cities or socials.
If you run into a terms and conditions problem, you can dispute the credit card transactions with your bank within 90 business days (paypal runs afoul of the consumer laws on that one). Most dispute resolution processes will try to put the responsibility on the customer and they also try to say that there are no applicable laws (thus their responsibilities) for services fradulently rendered (only goods they say since they can go to the shipper) but that's not true.
Sent fax this morning and this is the response from paypal:
"Before we can return a transaction back to the merchant, the card
association requires that certain requirements be met. Unfortunately, since
the merchant did provide the service we are unable to chargeback this
transaction.
It is always best to contact the merchant directly and try to resolve the
issue with them as they may be willing to issue a refund to you based on
the circumstances of your case. You can reach the merchant at 866-450-4000.
If you'd like to see a copy of the documentation used to make this
decision, please write to:
PayPal Debit Card Department
Attn: Dispute Resolution
P.O. Box 45950
Omaha, NE 68145-0950
Thanks for your cooperation."
The service they're referring to is the opening of translated letters, even if they're fradulent, which they won't acknowledge in the response. You can dispute the charges more than once depending on your bankcard and escalate with consumer.gov related fed regulation agency site but as you can see, paypal is not a reliable payments vendor when it comes to disputes regarding services. So in such cases, you need an escrow account for high dollar transactions.
The lessons learned is, don't use mariya-club, anastasiadate, natashaclub (1st-international), loveme, merry-cherry, hotrussianbrides, ukrainebrides.net, jump4love, romancecompass, or any such sites unless you can show the money, not use paypal, have a vk account that you search with, and plan to go abroad to meet FSU women.
There is a video chat reply service here on fiance.com that is interesting, as well as other FSU datings sites.
I think I lost $54 dollars since I don't feel like pursuing the disputes any further right now. Visa is making a paypal competitor and I'll check them out for sure.
