You know Sancho there is an old saying; you can take the boy out of the city but you can not take the city out of the boy, do you know what I mean. Oh yeah here is another one

Religion
What does a Non-Believer believe?
I was thinking that you should have taken the opportunity at hand and start over and not return to your oldways!!
You called it in another post wess, well called and well spotted. Post under sanch sanch. Do not take any notice of that thead. I did not use you name to attack you but you were involves in the incident. I have no beef with you, my beef is with olga.
It is touchy Ptichka but they always make the best and most interesting decussions. Religion is posted next to your profile. I think the question is , is it inportant to people, not, what are your religious beleifs
ID I don't have a profile so unfortunately I didn't know it is displayed. Well in this case it is possible to ask some questions. Then it's really true. Yes I agree that touchy topics make the best discussions, but still people should be careful with each other, right?
I asked Olga to close it. It took her only minutes to do it.
It's one of the lest productive topics of debate among us.
Even less than the political topics.
Whatever your religious beliefs may be, save them for discussion with your woman.
If you do not have a woman with whom to discuss them, take them to your barber, your mother or your next door neighbor.
but please keep them the hell (pun intended) out of here.
Two nuns went out of the convent to sell cookies. One of them is known as Sister Mathematical (SM) and the other one is known as Sister Logical (SL). It is getting dark and they are still far away from the convent.
SL: Have you noticed that a man has been following us for the past half-hour?
SM: Yes, I wonder what he wants.
SL: It's logical. He wants to have his way with us.
SM: Oh, no! At this rate he will reach us in 15 minutes at the most. What can we do?
SL: The only logical thing to do of course is that we have to start walking faster.
SM: It is not working.
SL: Of course it is not working. The man did the only obvious thing to do. He started to walk faster too.
SM: So, what shall we do? At this rate he will reach us in one minute.
SL: The only logical thing we can do is split. You go that way and I'll go this way. He cannot follow both of us.
So the man decided to go after Sister Logical.
Sister Mathematical arrives at the convent and is worried because Sister Logical has not yet arrived. Finally, Sister Logical arrives.
SM: Sister Logical! Thank God you are here! Tell us what happened!
SL: The only logical thing happened. The man could not follow both of us, so he followed me.
SM: So, what happened? Please tell us.
SL: The only logical thing to happen. I started to run as fast as I could.
SM: So what happened?
SL: The only logical thing to happen. The man also started to run as fast as he could.
SM: And what else?
SL: The only logical thing to happen. He reached me.
SM: Oh, no! What did you do then?
SL: The only logical thing to do. I lifted my dress up.
SM: Oh, Sister. What did the man do?
SL: The only logical thing to do. He pulled down his pants.
SM: Oh, no! What happened then?
SL: Isn't it logical, Sister? A nun with her dress up can run faster than a man with his pants down!
I did not expect such a reaction from this topic. I thought we were adult enough here to discuss just about anything considering the other threads I've seen here. If religion is off limits here then so too should be politics. Oh well....
Groon and wess,
The polarity of views about religion are not just difference of opinions.
Those with strong religious beliefs feel easily offended at the sarcasm with wich some of us, atheist or agnostics, can and do present our views about it.
On the other hand, we have little or no tolerance for what we may see as 'preaching' by those who believe, practice or even do preach for a living.
Outside of these parameters regarding religious faith, it's easy to disagree or even confront antagonistic opinions on almost any subject.
So the answer to the question of this thread seems to be, toad asked for it to be closed so it was. Crap again. Close all the political treads please Olga, they are useless, totaly irrelivent. Will you do that in minutes?
