The nationals of FSU do not need to apply for a visa at Embassy/ Consulate before travelling. Rather, they obtain a "tourist visa" AFTER arrival at Cairo Airport for a nominal $15 fee. Anyone is welcome! This is a most viable alternative for all of you guys who are contemplating a "compulsory" trip to Russia/ FSU simply because of INS regulations. Guys, instead of going through the hell of a fiancee visa and signing away line, hook and sinker to fulfill INS's financial requirements, all to be able to meet someone for the first time and decide there and then, you can arrange to meet your Russian sweetheart in Egypt at a fraction of the cost and enjoy a memorable holiday! Egypt has extensive touristic facilities, first-class hotels & sea resorts, diving, scuba, etc. and lush amenities at very reasonable cost. Daily, there are some 100 charter flights from Russia/ FSU landing in different internationals airports in Egypt- usually along the Red sea and the in the Sinai peninsula, in addition to the regularly-scheduled airliners inbound to Cairo and Alexandria. You will find she's familiar with the idea of travel to Egypt as these same charters take-off from some 20 towns in Russia and Ukraine such as Volgograd/ Kiev/ S-Pb/ Novosibirsk/ etc., so its no news. Many of the customers insist on doing that, because they want to invite girls to live in their houses and dont want to pay the hotel. Usually this cause the problem. If its just a tourist visa and the lady can prove that this is not a private visit and she goes to this cointry as a member of a tourist group-no problem, any travel agency can arrange it. What is the point of the hotel reservation, to prevent international street prostitution? or what ? ALL European (EU/Schengen) countries have DIFFERENT policies concerning visas for Russian/Belarussian/Kazakhi or what have you! citizens! You cannot say that a visitorīs visa is difficult to get over-all, regardless of the country! I know of a Russian man who owns a company in Sweden. He travels to Stockholm once every month (and visits the Swedish embassy in Moscow prior to each visit), and has also invited lots of Russian friends to go with him... And visa passed with no problem! So please do not talk about "Schengen" when you have no personal experience with each and every single country in the Scehngen zone. Remember that all Schengen (EU) countries are, indeed, separate ountries! When it comes to my country, Sweden, your comments are completely wrong as I have invited several Russian girls on personal invitation and getting the visa is simply a matter of applying for it! It was just in general.And saying about a visitors visa I said that "usually" it cause a problem. I didnt said "always". Henska, if you think she does not know it please let's hear it from you then? Make a list of all the countries and give country-specific requirements as to the granting of this Schengen-visa. The general outlines however, as she pointed out, are true. A Visa CAN be obtained, just fullfil the requirements for them depending where you live. Yeah Tim, you guys should have joined Europe if you ask me. Time to stop the island-mentality which still seems to be prevalent, and accept change for a change. I did so recently and again all you need to do is get a holiday visa at prot entry. It costs 10 euros for a Russian and for me (a Brit) Ģ10. I think for US citizens it is about $20.
