You will be looking for a girl ages 18-22. (I am guessing you live in the USA and don't want to be put in jail for attempting to marry your wife, so age 18+ it is.) So doing a search of all girls from Odessa that will net you about 17 girls total to choose from on this entire site. Kind of bad chances I would think. To give you some background about me and share some of my own personal experiences, I started my search at age 24. I am now age 31. During that gap of 7 years I wrote to quite a few girls but not a single one really wrote back to me regularly or considered me seriously until I got closer to 30 years old. Then I turned 30 and had quite a few writing to me. So from my own experience I will have to say that most girls will not take you seriously. From what I have observed, most girls are looking for a guy about 5 to 10 years older than they are. Outside of that age range I would have to say your chances will be very slim indeed. As Crash suggested, you may get lucky and find a girl interested in you and take you seriously - but from my own experiences the girls on this site under age 23 or 24 do it mostly for something to do and in many cases are not that serious about marriage yet since they usually have potential men to date in their own country close to that age and are often busy with their studies and college life. That is just my personal opinion though. Following some info I read before (and also some feedback from my fiancee) - most girls from the FSU will get married early. Usually by their early to mid-20's. If they are not married by age 26 then many consider them "old maids" and they are sometimes labelled as being "unmarriable". So yes, you could very well be able to go to Odessa and meet a young girl in her very early 20's who you could fall in love with and be married. Conversly though, she will be in much higher demand because she will be in college around eligible men from her own country. So how serious she is about leaving the Ukraine to move to another country could be a pretty big unknown and a gamble. I think the best question to ask is how serious are you and are you truly prepared to support and care for a wife? Financially alone it could be $10-$20k just going through the formalities of getting her to the United States. To answer your question I'm actually in Germany in the USAF but I'm coming to the end of my enlistment. I'm not poor, but by no means am I rich. I still have a lot of things I need to accomplish in life. I'm just ready to settle down and am looking for someone who will stick with me through the whole process. I've had my fair share of American women, but most I've been with have princess syndrome, or have some serious emotional issues. I don't know maybe I'm just really good at picking the wrong ones. I'm going to try to be optimistic about the whole trip, and if I do find the right person be honest with her so she knows my exact situation. I figure that way if she does want to be with me it is for the right reasons. I've heard it is a beautiful city and interesting culture so I cant really go wrong. Anewlife, on this site there are many many girls but not all the girls in FSU. They start from 17 and go to +65. I have seen them advertise for a guy from 18 to say, 35. I just came from Gorlovka and I meet 3 girls under 20, very beautiful, very nice but just not to be. Now on this site there was manbe 50 girls from gorlovka and maybe 20 that fitted into my seach engine, But when I got there things never worked out with the girl I went to see so I went to the agency there and asked to meet some other girls. We went though there computer and there was something like maybe 250 girls. Why are they not all on this site, I do not know. The point is (brian M) just because there is only 17 gils that come up in your seach engine dose not mean a thing. If you go to Odessa there will be girls girls girls and if you go to socials, may girls may be there who are not on the internet. If so say hi to a "James M." for me. He's an older guy (well, older than you anyway) whom I met on tour last year with European Connections. I know he will be there in the small select group of you this year - and if you tell him that Jim from last years trip says Hi, you'll freak him out. But getting back to the subject at hand - there was only one really young guy in the group last year - he was also around 22. He disn't seem to have any trouble at all. He ended up starting fiance visa papers with perhaps the most attractive Moldovan woman (about 18 years old) I have ever seen. During the Socials I asked my translator to get the attention of a woman whom I could only see from a distance. When she drew close I could see that she was younger than I had estimated and soon she told me that she was 17!! Obviously I did not pursue her. (I'm 46 by the way.) But contrary to what I mention above - many of the younger girls expressed no interest at all in talking to older men. At 22 if you appear mature and responsible - you could very well draw some interest.
