She claims no public phones out of the city but I find it hard to believe. I myself have worked in the nuclear field and know that the city was openned to western business in the 90s but does anyone have any current info or know of a scam? Very nice person just very secretive on contact and visiting. Olga Moderator send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 11/2/2004 12:43:30 AM   yes there are such cities and Snezhinsk is one of them. you can't enter it unless you are close relative of somebody who lives in Snezhinsk. even if you are Russian your relatives in Snezhinsk will have to file documents before you will be approved to enter city. they will have to state reason of your entering, duration of your staying there and so on. the city is surrounded by wall and has security at the entrance, but it doesn't look like big prison at all. In fact such cities are even nicer and cleaner since no strangers are allowed. there are no homeless people, crime level is very low. Most of the population is highly educated and involved in nuclear studies or some secret production.
