It is a funny thing promises are madeand promises are broken. I am sure that there are many women who are honest and sincere. But then there are many that have no morals. I am tired that though l have been told that my scam was not a scam and i should be more trusting my days of being trusting are comeing to an end. I really am thinking that this site knows about scams and do nothing to combat it... I am never going use this site to purchase a gift for a lady again. I am tired of being told stories and then having those stories change. If l should hook with a honest woman on this site then i will personally purchase her a gift if the need arises. I am sure i am not the only one that has been lured into purchasing only to have that lady disappear. I really do not give a flying duck about this woman. But what concerns me is how do we know that when purchasing gifts the women actually receive them? We don't and so this can be used to de-fraud money from hard working men. I have become somewhat of a cynic. I must admit that when I decided to be a 'bastard' for two weeks, as a young man in the navy, I had a pretty good time. But then I had a pretty good time anyway. Some women seem to want to be dominated, some don't. Bastards usually end up with the girl or the outcome they deserve, so I wouldn't worry about it. Just be yourself. Some women are not interested in gifts and I, for one, would not send any although I know in Russia it is very common for men to give flowers. The girlfriend I had in St.P was not interested in gifts. Pity about your experience. You obviously aren't letting it stop you seeking. Good man. Worth every penny. Today I am going to send pictures by regular airmail. Let's see how that goes. I take this one step at a time, each time dipping my toe into the water a little bit deeper. So far so good. Thank goodness for all the sound advice, insight and knowledge I have gleaned from this website. Please don't let one bad experience color your opinion permanently. I'm doing the same thing later this week. 3 weeks ago I ordered flowers and a cake for my woman. Found a place in Moldova that was 30% cheaper there than the service here and the picture was free. In all fairness to the service here, I've gotta say I have never seen a more sorry bunch of roses in my life. You could actually see the petals falling off in the picture.But she said the cake was very good once she got past the moldy spots.LOL jetmba. I have had great luck with that site, using it perhaps eight times, and the prices are excellent as well. And I know for a fact that my lady received the gift I send her. In all honesty - a lady I sent roses to by this site once DID complain of the quality - but in the same breath she told me that what she really wnated for her birthday was a recordable CD player. And she asked if I could just send her $100 so she could buy it for herself. In other words I don't really know if the roses were bad - or if it reporting them to be so was a part of a ploy to get cash. I did not, of course, send the $100. Or communicate with her again. I like this forum. And I like fiance.com in general. But there are alternative sources for most things as well, and I think our moderators know that we use more than one service in our quest. But anyone likes to be kept on their toes, same like you & I, because it prevents to get into a rut which, ulimately, becomes boring. Someone bored is never happy, and chances are they start looking.. A friend of mine always says 'Treat them mean to keep them keen' and, although of course not nearly valid for all, there's some truth to that I think.
