Jack: there are many visa options for bringing your lady to the UK,but the most reliable one is what is known as a fiance visa......or marriage visa. Quite straightforward.....after you have been to see your lady that is.......take lots of photo's while you are with her,keep all records of any phone conversation the two of you make to each other,keep any e-mails you exchange too. The visa application form can be downloaded from the consulate website,and must be presented in person by your lady to the Brit embassy in whatever country she is from. It might sound daunting Jack but I assure you it isn't.......been there,done it as they say.If you want to e-mail me direct feel free.

Cheers Gladiator Is it essential that I visit her? Is there anyway of flying her over here to the UK on holiday say for 2 to 4 weeks? With a booked return flight. Cheers Jack

Jack: YES it is essential you visit her.......unless she has a very healthy bank account,and a darn good reason to return home...eg business,kids etc!! Holiday visas are almost always refused unless these conditions are met. Unfortunately a booked return flight is no guarantee that anyone will return...:((. If the thought of applying for a marriage visa disturbs you Jack,you needn't worry.....there are no compulsory requirements for you to marry....but it does give you 6 months to make your mind up.

I met my girl and had her in the uk in 4 months 9 days, could have made it quicker.took only 8 days to obtain a visa

Is it possible to bring a girl over on a work visa, as an au-pair. I actually do need an au-pair and that would kill two birds with one stone if we hit it off.

Jack: if you're serious about finding a woman......have you considered what sort of message you are sending out to her by avoiding a visit to see her,not to mention the usefulness of seeing how she lives her life at home...with family and friends??? If you are dead set on trying to bring her to you then I wish you good luck mate, you ARE going to need it!
