If this lady is from the agency it works this way:You write a message-our administrator gets it-if it needs a translation it goes to translator-then it is sent to the agency of the lady-then the lady gets it.Then the letter goes back the same way.If the lady is not from the agency , the mesage is forwarded at her e-mail address and then the response goes back to our administrator.I can understand that people are concerned about privacy, but this chain helps to avoid cases of scam in the agency.WE see all responses of ladies and we translate them. So if we notice that she is corresponding with several men and starts asking them for mioney or writes them the same thingsto all of them trying to deceivfe-then we immediately inform a lady that we are aware of what she is doing and warn her to stop doing like that. And if we see that a few men are going to send her mpney we also inform them to be careful. Thats not that we are sitting here and reading every message you send or each message that comes in response from the lady. When you translate letters for someone both ways, unadvertently you become aware of all that's going on.
Unless you are the president of the USA, harry, I don't think your letters are going to cause you embarrassment as you are not that important in the public eye. Or then again..... are you Prince Charles Son!!!!??????? I mean, your identity is anonymous anyway... Simply put, some of the girls in the .ru office may have a giggle but I don't think you should be embarrassed by telling your chicky babe her sexy curves make ya woody go from sandalwood to oak!! As far as I am concerned I don't care what other people think as long as my RW knows how I feel and that I am open in telling her without fear of being laughed at by translators.
;-))))))))monolith you are right. nobody cares who writes what in his messages. telling about one's feelings honestly-thats what is really appreciated.
I must add that recently I have been told my one of the women I write to that she was informed that I write to many girls and has decided to stop our correspondence. How does this happen. I can only assume that it was the translater? I have also recieved letters with the same header added to the note from the lady. Exact sentences line for line and then a short message from the girl. Must say it seems fishy to me!
If the girl is from an agency, then the girls all go to the agency to get their letters. If you are writing to girls in the same city, they likely talk to each other, and find out that way you are talking to others.
Are to you talking to multiple girls in the same city?
Yes I thought this too but she is the only one in her city. Just strange. I was more dissapointed in the headers from the agency in Riga. I am pretty sure it is just fluff to make the letters more positive and seem longer. One seemed to be sincere after the header but the other was obviously just a form letter. Like I said one or two phrases alike ok not the same 6 or 7 sentances with the exact punctuation and everything. Just wishing it was not that way and that it is such a waste to loose that person as a friend. Overall though this is my big complaint...it is but a small fraction of my transactions here. I do not want to sound unhappy but it just fit the thread and I wanted to share my experience.
I only write to two women now. I am a bit confused about this whole thing. I always assumed my emails to these two women were seen by at least a 3rd party for translation. My new lady has been expressing a desire to speak to me on the phone with a translator. Via email it's one thing. On the phone it kinda puts me off. I know it's nothing new to alot of you guys here. You mind sharing with me how your first translated conversion went? How awkward was it? I told the girl I would love to talk to her. Right now it's a matter of figuring out a good time. There's an 11 hr difference. :-( Any input would be appreciated!!!
My first translation went extremely well. Well enough that the girl I have been talking to speaks enough English that we can have a conversation on our own. Even though it is difficult and strained at times we work with each others language. I'm learning Russian and she has started taking English lessons. My situation is a little unique,
the translator we have been using also happens to be a very dear friend of my lady. So I guess I have been lucky there. She feels more
comfortable using her when we have issues of importance to discuss. So there are no misunderstandings. Our normal day to day conversations we don't normally use her. Lyudmila has been a tremendous help for us. My little lady has told me Lyudmila is very
professional in how she handles translations at the agency she works
at. She may be biased in my ladies case but her help cannot ever be
appreciated enough. I will admit when we talk of things of a personal nature it feels a bit uncomfortable for the both of us. But if this is what it takes to make sure things get across correctly it is well worth it.
So make the call buddy you will find out it isn't really as bad as you think it might be. I had reservations at first but it has expanded our relationship and getting to know each other. It just may
be the best phone call you ever made in your life. Good luck my friend.
groon:
I can only echo what mike says too.........I think it is a little daunting for all of us when contemplating a conversation with a lady for whom you have high hopes.....but IT IS WORTH IT....the call I made helped me find the direction in life I thought I had lost.......plus the best wife in the world too......(my opinion of course)and I am biased!!!!....LOL.
If anyone here has reservations about writing an e-mail to anyone from another country, their own country or anywhere on fears that someone else may read their correspondence, they might as well give up the search.
Your e-mail 'virtue' is NOT insurable and it is subject to mockery. Deal with it.....
Ssshhheeesshhhhhh....What a cowardly pathetic way to avoid telling someone that you like them, lol.
I suggest you add some PS catchy phrase to protect yourself in case someone else reads your e-mail:
"..And for anyone else reading this e-mail, don't make fun of it or I'll send Guido, the killer pimp to bust your kneecaps, you hhhheeeaa?.." or "..if you're not the intended receiver of this e-mail, may a herd of sick camels make bubbles in your bath water.."
Or be unfortunate enought to pee on an electric fence.
Groon it is great, When we talk over my lunch hour and on weekends, if she has something really important to ask me she'll get Lyudmila on a three way. (no toad that is not threesome)One thing I have found is there is a lot of
ambiguity between Russian and English language. Same words can have many different meanings. She corrects my Russian and I help her with
English, but there has been many times we both are looking in the
dictionary for the correct word. At least it establishes a commmunication between you and her. Plus the personality comes forward
more in a conversation.
