Well, this time next week I will be waking up next to my Natashenka. I can't believe its almost over, 6 more days. Now begins a new road for us, her adjusting to life in the US. I hope everything will be fine. Ive always kind of kept these thoughts on the back burner because we were always focused on the visa and coping with life not being together for what seems to be an eternity at this point. Nevertheless I'm really getting excited now. Just had to share a few thoughts since I know alot of you guys are in the same boat as me. Dam, I thought going there the first time and meeting eachother was exciting. It does not even compare. Its getting hard to focus on other things, lol Oh well.. off to work I go
Hey Crash,
I don't think Natasha's adjustment to the US will be that difficult. Being together is where the adjustment will come into play. My Jenia has two of her friends that live here. She said they adjusted very easily. Of course, I guess it doesn't always happen like that. I have just started the "long wait" for the visa process. We are hoping to be at your stage by somewhere in Oct. or Nov. It will be a long spring and summer! Oh yeah before I forget, Congratulations to you and Natasha!!!!!!
So good to hear the good news crash....and rightly the nerves are beginning to kick in,aint it a good feeling???.......LOL,seriously buddy the best times are yet to come for you both I hope,my sincere congratulations to you both.
I hope you are both as happy as Inna and I....:))
Crash, although last week I said I would no longer post on this site, because of all the negativity, I decided to congratulate you and Natasha. Lena arrives Friday. She enjoyed your Natasha in Moscow and maybe they should stay in touch to support each other. She can reach Lena on her new Email: Elenavans@yahoo.com. We set our date in early May as Lena has this idea that April is a unlucky month to get married and you know how superstitious Russians are. Good luck to you both.
Frank
Nor- were not married yet. Next month, we havent set the day yet. We agreed to focus on this after this whole process was over. Now I want her to get home, rest, adjust a little and we will decide exactly when next month.
I agree with you Dale, and thanks. I think I'm really going to have to shower her with my attention(not that I mind one bit) I think she will be fine. She's really anxious about seeing this place for the first time. Getting to this point makes the whole wait almost mean nothing, its over! You both will be there soon, sounds like before the holidays this year =)
Thanks Glad! I still remember when you were preparing for Inna's arrival and I tried to imagine what you were feeling. Now I know!! Feels great, can't be explained thats for sure =))
Thanks Frank, glad to see you came back, the negativity did get overwhelming. Congratulations to you and Lena as well! I think it would be a great idea for them to keep in touch. I like her new email address =) Ive got it and I will give it to Natasha. Oh yes, I agree about the superstitious bit, or how many things can suddenly be a Russian tradition. I think shes set on tieing the knot next month, I'll bring that up to her though and see what she says.
Good luck to you and yours, I hope it is a great as you want it to be. I am about to venture abroad, going to the Ukraine in 5 weeks or so.
You never know, I may be in your shoes before long.
Sincere wishes of good luck to you. I wish you and Natasha all the best.
I hope to be in your situation with my lady in about five or six months. Given my difficulty concentrating on other things now, I can hardly imagine what it is like as the day of your loved one's arrival draws near.
