hey guys i have a question for some of you that have been overseas the girl that i will be going to see in moldova wants to know what all the inteveiw will be like when she goes in for it
usally guys i just read what you guys put in here and dont ask many questions so any info that your ladys might have to pass on will help thx hammer
If you are talking about the interview process for the k-1 visa (fiance visa) - especially regarding Moldova - my fiance and I will (probably) be going through it in the next two weeks or so. I will post then.
If you are talking about interviewing for a visitors visa - for a young lady in Moldova. I do not know much about it except that the experience will likely cost you $100, be an excercise in futility and result in a "denied" stamp in her passport.
Hammer,
Unless you have already met this woman, dicussing a K1-visa with her is sort of putting the cart before the horse.
By the way you addressed us as men who "have been overseas" I assume you have not yet.
BEWARE, mate!!
Any woman who wants to discuss the K1 fiance visa BEFORE she even meets you cares more about getting out of her country than forming a serious relationship with you.
The timing is admittedly bad - but since we put the entire fiance-visa thing into action on December 21, it is starting to come to fruition. The National Visa Center (Department of State) gave us their blessing and sent the application on to The Embassy on March 10. With everything in me I wish that it had been one day earlier or later - because March 10, was the day of the worst tragedy of my life. Waited four months for this thing and it had to coincidently come on the same day as the day my son passed away. Some things are not fitting.
Our choices now are two. We can move forward as difficult as that may seem right now - or we can drop it and have to go through this hellish procedure again sometime in the future. She and I have decided to opt for the former.
My fiance is now getting her police record, vaccination record, her mother' and extra passport type phots needed for her interview in Bucharest. Bucharest has informed her (or more specifically - they informed ME when I called to inquire) that she needs to make an appointment with once of three medical facilities in Buchares for her medical exam. That, including a chest xray at a different facility, is expected to take all day. She is then to call the embassy and an appointment for an interview will be set up the next day. Bothe she and I are relieved that this means she will only have to travel out of her country and to Bucharest once.
And incidently, I TOLD her to prepare those other documents, the police report, the vaccination record, etc. in advance in preparation for the interview. She said not to worry about it she had plenty of time. Now she is running around like crazy. There are some things about women that are universal.
And yes, ya gotta go meet the girl before you can even consider a fiance visa Hammer.
Jet,
My hat, pants, gloves, shoes, socks and shirt off to you for swallowing your monumental pain and moving forward in your well deserved pursuit of happiness with your woman.
Everyone else in this forum needs to do exactly the same deity damn thing.
The flow of life and the happiness we seek in our lives should not come to a halt because one of our mates is down.
He's not out.
He's very much with us in our thoughts and best wishes.
And he's doing an exemplary job of getting himself back up.
The best thing we can offer him in my never EVER humble opinion is the same ration of shit, humor and support we have always given to everyone here.
Keep posting, keep asking the same newbie or veteran questions and keep letting Jet he's one of us no matter how big his pain is.
