Dale H:
You were approved in Nebrask in three weeks?
Wow.
It took me (and everyone else at that time) two months.
Then, after getting the NOA2 indicating Nebrask had approved us - it took SIX WEEKS just to GET TO the NVC in New Hampshire. SIX WEEKS! I was convinced someone had decided to carry it on foot - and then got lost.
It looks like it took two weeks for them to get the letter from Nebraska to New Hampshire in your case - looking at the dates above.
Congrats - in five weeks it looks like you are where I was after 14 weeks.
Hello,
Please, help us. My name Tatyana, my fiance KArl, have problems with his documents. I was in embassy two times. My fiance income 2004 not enough for get fiance visa for me. They ask that he take co-sponsor.I want ask you, can to be co-sponsor friend my fiance? And which documents he need to have?
Thank you very much, hope get answer,
Sincerely, Tatyana
Tatyana- I think a co-sponsor can be anyone (friend, family member) willing to abide by co-sponsorship rules. All your questions about visas and co-sponsorship can be found at www.visajourney.com or uscis.gov
His income too low - Tati, is Karl from the US?
I knew the Aussies have minimum-income rules but was blissfully unaware that the yanks also have rules for this affecting a visa for someone else.
Jet, the flippant frog no longer frequents here. My hunch is some moronish language has something to do with it, which is a farging pity because he was not such a bad icehole ;-)
Tatyana,
US does have a minimum income requirement. It must be poverty level plus 20%. If he can't meet this requirement, I think the two of you need to have some serious discussions.
Latest update on the Visa- Jenia informed me that today she received the packet from the US Embassy in Bucharest, Romania. She must send them back a couple of completed forms. The USCIS and the NVC in the states do not forward all of your required evidence to the embassy( Pictures, phone records, e-mails and so on) That is why you should have copies of everything you originally send to the USCIS when you start your petition. It has been only two months to the day today when I sent off the visa petition in the mail to the Nebraska office. It looks like we will be done with everything in less than three months and Jenia
and her son will be here in June. I am starting to go into shock!
Good one Dale. Take a deep breath, and then think "what the hell have I done" No just joking.
From what I have read and monitored on your venture, everything is going to be sweet !!
