I heard that you can enter Odessa and get a visa at that port of entry. Is this true. Also they lowered the private visa price to 20.00 total. I paid $110.00 a few months earlier. Please advise. But this tread was started saying that Ukraine was going to wipe all Entry Visa requirments for EU people ?? Was it a joke ???? N()R Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 4/8/2005 7:12:16 AM   Maxi, In the thread "letter of invitation" I have copied and pasted a letter from the Ukraine embassy, it is dated (I think it was) 22 of March. It says nothing about no visa requirements. I think if this was something other than a joke, this letter would have told. It is an official letter from the official office that deal with these things. It says people from the EU and some other places don't need an official invitation to get the visa, but it says nothing about that there is no visa at all. I think the post at the top of this thread is 1. A joke or 2. A misunderstanding of the rules. But.. of course.. I think it is still quite early for them, and also the majority of the people is against it. Most countries who is about to enter the EU have a voting amongst the citizents, and from what I have learned the Ukraine people think their country has the ability to grow, and become very strong and independent. In one way I think it would be great if they entered, but in another way I don't think so. It is not so long ago they left a Union, and the word in itself scare many people from voting for it. Well, at least this is my understanding from my conversations with Ukrainian friends, and what I read in the Ukrainian news on the net. One of my friends actually referred to Nostradamus... "The European monster will grow and be powerful, it will raise, and the 3rd world war will start..." (NO TOAD, it is not me!) I don't know if most Ukraine people are that superstitious, but one of my friends truly believe in it... Having only passports. If you will have a passport of Scotland, my Peter, the visa to Ukraine will be not necessary for you.
