ok sorry to ask a question again, but i have read some topics on the forum and you people know what you are talking about so here is my problem. Right now iam in iraq, i have been corresponding with these great lady, i told her my situation and that as soon as iam done here i will go see her. she says she can wait and has no problem writing emails,now my question is, is it fair for me to ask her to wait and keep emailing each other cause i know its costing here money and i feel bad. And i dont want some other guy to beat me to the punch so can someone please give me some advice thankyou

mpguy23, if she is registered at fiance.com it doesn't cost her anything to write letters to you

mpg, Of course it is wrong of you... At least if she look good... Are you at all thinking about us?? Please don't be so selfish.. lol I am just silly mpg, of course you have to keep writing her letters, if you don't she will forget you, very slowly, but it will happen. That is life.. If things take too long, eventually it will pass, and you will forget the good feeling and find it somewhere else. We all know this feeling.. We fall in love, everything is great, then after a while things become more normal again. Same story here.. The letters are very frequent in the start, but if the letters stops, so will the interest after a while. It just cools off.. Sure she will wait, a while... I have noticed about myself, that if I write to a woman over a period of time, and never see her in real life I lose interest in her.. That's just me.. Thet is why I need to take the approach to see them, the faster the better.. unlike some Toad around here that is patient as a snail... Stay safe in Iraq, and don't forget to send her letters! :)

MP, You will see different approaches here... Nor, for instance gets a lot of attention in the beginning because he insists on sending pics of him with that curly red hair wig, but after the ladies meet him during one of his pillaging, village burning and debauching weekend trips, they soon begin to lose interest...or is it him who loses interest? Not sure there...:)) I, on the other hand, took my sweet time building solid friendhsips with several ladies with whom I corresponded or talked to regularly. Eventually, Lena won my heart and I went to see her. The rest is recent history. If your age different is not as wide as ours (22 yrs) I'd not suggest waiting 18 months like I did to go visit your lady. Write often, talk to her on the phone if you can. But do not send any money or otherwise do anything to create a relationship of financial dependency. How old are you? toad

Toad, you make it sound so romantic.. pillage, village burning, debauching weekend trips.. all mixed with a romantic flavor of the nice red curly wig.. :) If this girl turns out to be as I am afraid.. spoiled rotten.. i will try it your way..

mpguy23, Hey there. It is good to hear that you are still able to communicate while you are there in Iraq. I am headed that way in August of this year for my tour.
