Women. Food - love their food. Women. Cheaper than Russia. Women.
Probably women actually, Yes Yes definably the women. I will let Ya know after my pending 2 months there June - July with my very beautiful WOMEN !!!!!!
Yes, go ahead, you could extend the site you already have, and put some women along with the hotels, but make sure you only have the real women from Lugansk.. A great name could be.. "Dating, bed & breakfast". lol
Ukraine is an interesting place. An undiscovered diamond. It has much to offer but still don't know how to wrap things beautifully. Except women of course. You know guys, women are better unwrapped!:-)
To be serious Kiev is in general probably one of the most interesting places in the world, the ancient capital of all Russian lands, the birth place of all Slavonic culture and the place where Orthodox religion began to spread throughout all Russia. It is a beautiful city besides now it has a nice fresh air of recent Orange revolution.
Ukraine has many unique historical and natural resorts. Great mountain district of Karpaty. Still mostly untouched and very original as for people living there. You know in the last years they have discovered a very interesting trend in tourism - taste tourism. People travel there to visit very interesting small mountain I don't know how to call it... "Pubs" may be that offer local dishes and drinks which are very unusual and tasty. The immortal positive side also is that everything is extremely cheap.
There is a Crimea peninsula region which is the fastest developing sea resort area. Some cities there are already like some Spanish or French sea resorts. The climate there allows to swin in the sea until late October. The cultural program there is also great as the whole history there is connected with wars, tzars and there are even two or more ancient Greek settlements there. If you would appear suddenly in Khersones and you would be unaware of where you are, you would swear that it is somewhere in Greese. It is still rather affordable to rest there but unfortunately the prices are going up faster than most people would want to.
And you know... Among the pleasant places in Ukraine Lugansk hardly can be found!:-)
There are lots of blonde and very shapely women in any city of Ukraine.

Thanks for that post. I have copied it and pasted into my Word Doco containing info and things to do while in Ukraine. Sounds like buying property in Crimea Region will be out of reach. Any little hideaway areas that you know of that might not be discovered yet???
Idiot
The women I have met do not have a price !!! Seriously, everything is cheaper than main centre Russia. Hotels - Food - services etc. I am sure the ladies of the night will be cheaper too. Hopefully I wont need to find this out !!
I am a farmer. The land and soil in Ukraine blows me away. The dirt is black and looks to scream potential. I reckon Farming for 7 moths of the year would be excellent, and then everything would die of the cold wind !!!!
I surely hope that the tourism in the Crimea region doesn't become so expensive that locals will not be able to enjoy their own country. My woman from Chisinau, Moldova vacations there and rents a mountain cottage on the edge of the Black Sea every year for a couple of weeks and if she can afford it anyone can. (She makes $1000 yr teaching English plus a little more for giving private lessons).
I will be in Crimea with Larissa in July. The prices aren't outrageous by US standards but I think they will slip away from the locals. Hell to go to a concert in Kiev is idiotic. It was 200 bucks for two tickets to see Patricia Kaas, That was box office prices. I sat 17 rows back from Clapton at Conseco and only paid 75. There is a bit of price gouging in Ukraine for certain things. Ukraine will get worse before it gets better. I think it will take 10-15 years for its economy to stabilize.
Has Tourism not ruined your countries yet. Here in NZ, owning beach front is out of reach of most people now. Prices have gone through the roof. Most of it driven by English. Our dollar converts to a large amount for them.
Tourism and the wealth from the 15% of Russkies that have more $$ than they know what to do with, will push Crimea Region WAY beyond ordinary Russian and Ukraine people
max- actualay I would have to disagree. Kiev was not cheap at all. Donetsk can be very expencive and I paid the same price for an apartemnet in ukraine and russia. Soon I will travel to Moscow and although I have not finalised where I will stay, fiance.com has offered to find me an apartment and it considerably cheaper than ukraine, or ekaterienburg and I was in ekaterienburg in 2002. I will say I went to gorlovka in the ukraine and food was very cheap in that city
idiot
I would doubt that an Apartment in Moscow will be less than EBurg and Donetsk. If it is, be prepared to beat the feet, it must be a little back from the centre. Taxis are bloody expensive in Moscow, so take the location of apartment into account. I stayed 8 nights in apartment at Kremlin end of Traviskya Street (main drag in centre Moscow) Excellent location in old theatre apartment complex. Cost was $150 per night.
But I do not have much knowledge on Kiev, only brief visit there but I am expecting it will be higher than Kharkov and the outer cities I have experienced in Ukraine.
Maxi,
Apartments in Kyiv are beyond reasonable, right in the center of the action. Beautiful furnished for 60 to 85 dollars a night. You can even get decent apartments for 40 dollars a night. No city in Ukraine is much different than any other. Why go to Moscow to pay through your nose?

I think you misread (or I miswrote) I was telling Idiot that Moscow WILL be more expensive than Ukraine. I stayed Moscow 2004. I am going to Ukraine this year. My lady and I have a friends (her friends) apartment for $500 for 2 months. (she lives with teenage daughter and Mama) so we will be on our own. :-)
So I am lucky, I wont be needing commercial apartments for this trip. Even when we visit Crimea, Lena has a friends apartment again. You see, a lot of families (retired non workers) move out to their Dacha (holiday pad) for their summer. So their home apartment is vacant.
