Since you are from Lugansk, the same town as the girl I am writing to, I would like to know your thoughts on some things, if you would be so kind. Could you read the 'I hate to beat a dead horse' thread and let me know what you think? Thanks in advance. :)
Hello Olie, great, Ptichka lives in Lugansk :) cool, me too. Take my advise, don't send money to your girl until you see her in real. $90 is not a small money for Lugansk. She probably told you that she speaks no English and needs $90 for translations (unlimited correspondence). Read her first letters carefully, because that is not a price for the Internet here in Lugansk. It cost $1 per hour here. Tell her to use the regular mail and see her reaction, or tell her that you are coming next week to see her. Try to do it just to see her reaction :) Anyway I can give you a lot of advises if you need...
Olie, well this girl you write to, sounds to be a nice girl:) 90$ for Internet is not that big money after all. To open her mail-box, read the letter, write the answer, if a need to use the electronic vocabulary, if you send her any links it is a need to open them and to watch what is there and so on and so forth. I know that very often for 50 minutes in the Internet I use about 5-6 megabytes of Internet. And I don't do too much here in Internet.
But again if she says it is fine with her if you don't send her money, don't send, you just can come and meet her and then decide what to do. This is my advice and these are my thoughts:)
go2lugansk, have to admit that I don't have an Internet cafe close to my home, the price where is 1 $ per hour. Yes they charge 1 $ per hour + they charge for the Internet traffic you use during this time.
Seriously thank you for the advice, Pitchka, I appreciate it. Maybe I should feel badly about suspecting her a little bit. Oh well, I have an excuse, I really don't know anything about all of this, since this is my first time having what I consider to be a more serious correspondence. Thank you all. :)
geoLugansk, I have already done all of those things, she has passed every small and subtle test I can think of. :)
