The invitation letter is for you at this point a package deal. Later when you have established contact with a lady possibly she can help you get a business invitation letter for a year.
I would suggest going to www.russia-visa.com for your first visa. It is $179 for a combination invitation and visa. They will take the pain out of this for you. You send them an application form, 1 photo, your passport with at least one blank page and a good six months of life in it and of course the money. It will take a couple or three weeks and the passport will be sent back to you along with your entry exit slips stapled inside opposite the visa. The visa is a yellow sticker, in Cyrillic and will indeed take a whole page in the passport. Some additional papers will accompany it. Just fold them and stick them into the passport and present it to the sour faced immigration officer as you enter the country. Then wink and tell them Boris sent you. that is all there is to it.
In the future you can get a business invitation letter which is good for a year. You can tehn download the Russian Embassy's form off line and apply youself. You will save about $70 this way.
Thank you:) I think I know that guy Boris Torehiscockoff :)
I got the ball rolling today and passport should come soon :)
I am looking forward to just A nice Vacation I am looking for love
but if it does not happen right away I will keep trying.
I want to learn about there country I think your more Genuine
when you take the time to understand there way of life.
I got some more topics to ask so I got to get busy :)
You are correct, the thing that impressed Larissa was my knowledge of Ukraine and it's history. It is important to the lady that you understand her culture and embrace it. That is why when she comes here we will celebrate two Christmas's, one with my daughter and a traditional Ukrainian Christmas. Here's the caveat, she said so I will will get presents on both Christmas? I said your trying to work this program pretty hard aren't you. She said, but I am woman. Yes, she's from Ukraine, but she still is a woman. So we will celebrate many Ukrainian holidays here. Yes she will live here, but I don't want her to lose her culture, that is what I fell in love with, a sweet Ukrainian, she may become an american, but I don't want her to lose herself in the process.
Hello Nasfan is Larissa still in the Ukraine? and I take it you will get married Here or in Russia? What City is she from and do you go there often?
What is it like there and is the Ukraine all that much different than Russia?
It will be so much more rewarding to understand her ways first.
Larissa is right When she said I am woman All you can do is smile and say yes you are women.
It sounds like you are very happy with her :) and I to hear that :)
Yes she is still in Mariupol Ukraine, our target day is Late October or early November. The big reason now withstanding the visa process is her mother is out of the country right now and won't return from her sisters in Switzerland until October. Larissa didn't want to leave Ukraine without spending some time with her mother. Her mom is endorsing this move for her daughter and I told her mom she is welcome at our home anytime she wishes to come to visit.
I can't compare Russia and Ukraine, I have found the Ukrainian women in my one sided opionion to be much warmer and friendlier than the Russian women I have corresponded with in the past. I thoroughly enjoyed my visits to Ukraine and I am looking forward to going back many times in the future. I will be making my 3rd and 4th trips this year. I find the Ukrainian people to be very friendly. They are a hard working lot of folks also.
We are going to do both, finances and time depending. Simple one here with my daughter her fiance and a couple of my close friends and neighbors. Then we will chose a time to go to Mariupol for the family thing. I have a small business on the side and a friend has approached me about helping him in his computer business, he's a wizard at building PC's but has the personality of sandpaper. He built my PC for around 400 bucks and I haven't found anything close to it for less than 1000. I've been selling all my life and he needs someone to help him market and sell his computers.
Some Ukrainian Etiquette, do not my friend refer to Ukraine as "The Ukraine." Mariupol is on the Azov sea in the Donbass region of Ukraine. Close to Crimea and only about an hour and a half from Donetsk. It is in the southern region of Ukraine. I myself use to refer to Ukraine as The Ukraine and Larissa and our resident sweetheart Pitchka both corrected me in this. Ukraine is a stand alone
country rich in history. Actually Kiev was the earliest cultural city in the area. Their ties with Russia is a bit strained and Larissa explained to me, though they have a history with Russia, when you refer to it as "The Ukraine" it is referring that this is a region of the former Soviet Union and not a country of their own. Ukrainians are a very proud people that have been occupied and want their own identity.
