I have all my documents in order and ready for the adventure. I have one thing though that worries me alot. The lady only knows a few words of English. I thought I had read at one time there were available headsets that are capable of translating English to Russian and vice versa. Make sure she is hot . Because you will need her if you want to seduce your date . OKOKOKOKOK...:)) find your nearest Sharper Image store. They have a great electronic translator that handles 10 languages with phonetics included. It's still well under $200 and after she played with it Lena told me it's the best thing she's ever seen in electronic translators....and she should know since she's a professional translator for a big company there and uses these machines all the time. If a woman in let us say, oh I don't know, how about Russia, wants to find a husband in America. She should learn English first. Otherwise she is wasting everybody's time. I am not looking for a Russian wife so I can live in Moscow. I am quite happy in Fort Lauderdale thank you. I tried to explain this to one woman and she got mad at me. No English no Izi. I don't have the time or energy to learn Esperanto either. You brave souls that attempt learning Russian my hat is off to you but I will not be joining you. Marina and I used a dictionary sometimes and she used a software tramslator. What a piece of butchery!! Find a woman that speaks English. Anybody ever see that Black Adder episode where he was going to marry the Infanta from Spain. They even had the interpretor in bed with them. I took one on my 1st FSU trip and it never got used. In fact it somewhere near Samara now probably in local tip. Don't worry to much. If you both click, and she is prepared to try, then everything will be cool. My 1st Lena, was just like this girl you are about to visit. No English, we clicked good to start with. This lack of dialogue has some perks (advantages) You will find if she likes you and is attracted physically to you -then touchy - feely will be the communication in a very short time. However, if she not genuinely interested for the right reasons, you are in for a long haul (difficult task) A personal translator (person I mean) is good to have every second day and on call if possible. This could be a useful language to learn. "How are you today sweetie" (reaches out and strokes breast) "Never felt better" (tickles my ear) "Are you going shopping?" (cups other breast) "Yes, thought I'd pick up a loaf of bread" (unzips my fly) The rest of this has been censored for obvious reasons. I have no idea how old you are but maybe if your pushing 50 or 60 you may see it differently. I'm not even pushing 40 yet so I had no problem at all with the language gap. I looked at it this way. I do have the time and patience to deal with the language gap, and I do plan on mastering Russian. There are soooo many good women out there that are looking but dont speak english so well. I only used a translator on our first meeting and I hired a translator EVERY day of our first 2 weeks together for 8-10 hours a day. IT HELPED like you wouldn't believe we used the electronic translator just mainly for some some words on our 2nd and 3rd meetings, by this time she was taking english classes and she was absorbing english like a sponge. It was also fun for us to look at the elec. trans. together and we got some good laughs out of it. It DID help though, if you have one BRING IT. We still use it for a word or two every now and then. later peoplez, I'm gonna surprise my wife that "doesnt speak english so well" with breakfast in bed... should be good for some brownie points, lol rrlinders Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 6/18/2005 1:00:22 PM   You guys are a great help, and funny at times I might add. I am going to look at the translator that Toad suggested. There is a store about 45 min. from my home, and they have them in stock. If we are attracted to one another I am sure that after one day the TOUCHY, FEELY translator will kick in. I will save my receipt.
