I cannot recall any examples write now - but the English was bad and broken and downright laughable. I took a photo of a display in a clothing store that had such a Tshirt. If I can find it I will write for you verbatim what the thing said. Evidently just being something written in english was enough for these customers. I should mention - I needed a belt while in Moldova - so I bought a Hugo Boss belt for $5. Okay, okay, it wasn't a REAL Hugo Boss belt - but like every other piece of inexpensive clothing in the market it had a brand name that was actually a licence of an expensive designer and this one HAD the Hugo Boss logo. But this was actually one of the more honest fakes because in small print it had a single word indicating it was not genuine. It said HUGO BOSS stile (of course "style" was misspelled). I think that applies anywhere in Russia. It's an illusion to believe that ALL FSU women are interested in western men and ready to swoon in your presence. Some of these ladies are mentally tough. They can also be very direct. There is a touch of nationalism and therefore racism in the Russian mind and many are intensely proud of their heritage. Those that go to the smarter cafes can be arrogant too. However I must agree with QC. The ones we are dealing with on the internet are a tiny propotion of the general population. Moscow same thing. This is to me a clear example of socials being the best way to go. In St Petersburg it is always "when are you coming I don't want to write" like it was just around the corner not a 24 hour flight. It does indeed come across as arrogant. I have a very strong suspicion thought that once you were there you would be swamped in beautiful, young women. I am sure they are great and you could find a wonderful wife there. It is another thing writing and I don't bother as I have been burnt so many times. The only block I have in EWM is a girl from STP. Arrogant would be how I would describe it also. Then on the other hand you can never tell. My odds on favorite right now is a lovely doctor lady with a great son in Moscow. Although it has to be said she is actually originally from Samara. She is quite different from all the other Moscow women I have talked to even the one from New York (incidentally she exploded on me). Actually I have 4 that I have on the go although the sex machine in Ekaterinburg is about to go I think. Also the one 16 years younger than me in Chelyabinsk. This is the hardest part choosing and then having to say goodbye. It is so bloody cold and always the what if.......... How strange it seemed to be talking to a gorgeous girl 20 years your junior and to have to tell her - "Oh, I'm sorry. I already have a date for tonight. Can you stay over for tomorrow night - I might be able to fit you in for dinner." And of course she is more than willing. Its best to choose a girl from out of town, of course for your date that night - as a girl who loves in town is more likely to be abvle to see you the next day. I had a beautiful 20 year old (hot as you can imagine) who lived in Kherson which is some short distance from Odessa. She wanted me to pay for her taxi ride back for dinner the next day. She said $100. I said too much. The lady who is now my fiance - on the other hand came from Moldova - I gave her $20 to stay in a local hotel. Her girlfriend was actually alos given money to stay at a hotel that night - so the girls pooled their resources and stayed at a nicer one. You can imagine how strange it felt giving one girl $20 to stay at a hotel for the next night - while your also gorgeous date for the night present is sitting in a chair next to you witnessing the entire transaction. But like I said - its accepted and expected. The normal rules are suspended. They know you are only there for a short time and that you have come to meet a few girls. as you might recall (I've written it before) I never actually went to the third social - my lady - my now-fiance - was in my room at the time as i was preparing to go. we were told that of course the ladies would try to prevent you from going to the other socials. we were supposed to tell them that we were "cotractually obligated" to attend all three Socials. My lady wasn't buying it. As she sat on my bed - she said to me "Why would you want to go there when you have me here?" I thought about it and decided that she had made an excellent point. I took my suit back off.
