You have heard this plenty of times before...but, after the first email it costs $US10. OK. One free one, the cost of setting up an account, foreign exchange loss etc. But why does every subsequent email cost $US 10 as well? Surely $2 would be reasonable. Some ladies are blissfully ignorant "Thank you for nice first email. I want very much to talk to you. Please tell me more".
Does the agency explain what it costs men, and would be a simple courtesy to reply "declined" or with a half reasonable answer if they are interested. Obviously the agencyu would prefer to suck through as many $US10 emails as possible.
The first email had more than "hi". To get even a reasonable start towards a conversation will take at least 5-6 emails. and if you are corresponding with 5 or more women it racks up quickly until you can work out to concentrate on one.
So the question is...can the post $US 10 emails be reduced to a bulk cost, i.e the nest 20 emails cost $US 50
I actually think that $10 dollars isn't so bad if you consider a few things...
First the lady pays nothing to reply ( according to the girl i'm in correspondance with) which compared with other sites is a considerable saving...
Secondly, the girls on these sites are a hell of a lot more attractive than the girls on your local internet dating site (well in my case they are) so maybe its worth the expenditure. This is obviously just my opinion and I am also worried about the escalating cost of writing to these lovely ladies ( just 2 in my case), but I have had extremely positive replies so maybe thats why i keep digging out the credit card....
$10 dollars and your letter gets translated, forwarded, and your able to trace its dilivery, plus if something in the letter is not understood the service is more than happy to enlighten the lady to your wording. Then she replys free! hmmmm not a bad deal! wouldnt you want to be paid for your services! :-) Plus they spot scammers and warn you of a possible scam from your ladys response. Sounds like a good deal to me! Or if you dont want to pay then you can buy her address and write her yourself ! see how far that gets you! If it takes you 6 emails to start a conversation your not much of a writer..
I thought translation costs a little more, Code Red.... But I don't want to start an argument... Anyway, we agree that $10 dollars is reasonable for a letter plus paid response, and you are right in saying that 6 letters should be enough to work out whether the lady is interested or not... To Abrantle, the agency we are talking about is the one that runs this site, dating-ru.com, and in my opinion, they seem to offer the best service... although nothing's for free in this life and you may want to contact a lady from another site ( as I did) which will (in my experience) cost you more...
Your correct Castle, my mistake and I stand corrected.
Abrantle, the site I recommend is dating-ru.com, they are the only site I have seen that operates with a code of ethics. But as in all business the are in business to make money. However, they have a level of integrity I have not seen in other agencys some clients have been involved in...
Goodluck..
