Despite our failure to get together she was definitely still top of the tree in my search. I suspect she was 100% bs since she was a "Ms. WOW." Seemed she was only concerned with keeping my emailes coming in. Maybe she was getting paid per email? Dunno. I found her profile on ither sites. Old profiles. When I asked her to send me a current photo she sent me one of the old photos. Very suspect. I dropped her and found another. She seemed genuine. Didn't get much of a chance to explore any further since a russian lady here locally found me. LOL I dunno if this agency is honorable or what. I can only recommend you use comon sense when dealing with any of the women you may find here. Rule #1 NEVER send money. Rule #2 NEVER EVER send money. Rule #3 Don't waste your time on someone that continues to talk about the weather each time they "write." Don't limit yourself to looking for women over seas. I am sure you can find a good local woman if you applied yourself and made an honest self accessment. Are the girls all genuine and perfect? Of course not, but fiance.com can;t be expected to weed them all out for us. We have to do SOMETHING on our own. I met one woman who I still consider to be one of my favorite people through the listings in fiance.com - at 20 (now 21) she was just over the line - being too young for me to pursue seriously. (But I could always change my mind in the future.) I STILL suggest that you just go over there by means of a Romance Tour with Socials as the best way to meet a woman - and you can even do THAT through fiance.com. I have a buddy who is going with Anastasia (spelled wrong I know and I will no doubt get flack for saying something good about that agency in the forum) right now. He will be in Odessa at the beginning of August. You COULD write to one girl (some places addresses are FREE). and get lucky off the bat. Email is practically free - as long as you are getting lucky - lets say you get REAL lucky and she happens to speak English and has internet access at home or work. A few phone calls, a trip over (might be less than $1200 if you get a deal) and bingo - you're ready for a fiance visa. Personally - Ive spent about 15 times that - because everything didn't quite fall into place - and I still might be wrong. I beleive I paid $3,500 for the plane trip, the hotel and breakfasts in the morning - and of course three Socials. I met my fiance on that trip. Went back twice to see her as well. But the price quoted above did not include any food except breakfast. I do not even belong to Fiance.com but this is the best forum bar none............. My opinion of course:) If you really want to learn the ropes read as much as you can when you got time. Go to page 6 and Read Realistic cost from Beginning to end. The guy's are open about the amount of money they invested in there Dreams to find Happiness. I was very lucky at the begining however I fell on my face a couple of times and my attitude and approach has changed tremendously. Issues and questions have come up through experience again and again. Now I weed them out really fast. If they won't let me weed them ou they are gone twice as fast. I will give you an example. I met a wonderful cheery woman from Moscow, great English and a up personality. Cool phone call. Very quickly I went into a subtle 20 questions. There are very simple ways to do this without coming across as a inquisator. She dropped the ball on the second question. " Can you get written permission from teh father of your child to leave the country forever"? "No, my ex husband loves her very much and wants to see her" Trapdoor opens and the next contestant shuffles on stage. We had a good laugh about it and she said she would have to rethink the whole deal. OF COURSE BECAUSE SHE HAD NO EXPERIENCE. As you go throught his you will learn who is wasting time as groon so rightly says. Also for every keyboard Romeo there are two keyboard Juliets out there. They want romance and a kind of atention thing and they want it anyway they can get it. It is only human but who has the time. It is tough enough with the genuine ones. It is a little rare to find a woman who has REALLY thought through the consequeces of what she is doing. There are pitfalls left and right. Lastly it is unfortunate but I have learned that if you find one you realy like and seems to fit the bill. Jump on it and go. Because it will all take time and the quicker you get this over with the quicker you can get on with the love affair. How many times did you go Jet? I am about to go for my second time. If I like her I will organize another trip as soon as I can. Anyway to meet is good, both socials and emails. But emails have a way of wasting a lot of time if you don't go about it intelligently. Physical, intelligence, child, legalities, attitude to leaving Russia, work skills, no ageing parents to support, not feminist, understands what a kitchen is for, familiar with a broom etc. But you know the only thing that will do the trick is a face to face meeting.
