It seems many, if not most, of the women on here are genuine, but it is an arduous process to get to know someone through email, phone, etc., with everything else going on in life. Assuming money is no object, would anyone recommend this to me? As I am knew, I should introduce myself. I live in Atlanta, am 33, am a lawyer, do fairly well, and am decent looking and fun to be around. I have decided, after many interactions with FSU, here Atlanta and abroad, that their values (generally) mirror mine. My age range is flexible, from the late 20s, down to the late teens (if exceptionally mature and intelligent). Anyway, I'm glad to be taking part in this forum, and wish everyone luck in their search. Any advice on the private search option, or similar (but better) programs would be greatly appreciated. Once upon a time when I first embarked on this pursuit I emailed fiance.com to inquire about the private search. They did not write back for a couple of weeks. I emailed again and said that I had inquired about the private search and never received a response. This time they sent back a curt (almost rude) email saying that they were very busy and someone would contact me with details soon. I never heard from them regarding the private search again. Needless to say, I never used this particular service. This was curious, because overall I found the customer service on fiance.com to be excellent. I also wrote to some very nice girls on fiance.com and ended up meeting several. However, from your post I must say that I think you might do better with another method. In my experience, the disadvantage to this method is that after you write to a couple of girls and want to meet them, they can live anywhere across the FSU. As you know, this is a huge region. I was writing to girls from Belarus to Vladivostok! My personal preference is to meet more than one girl on a single trip, but when they live so far apart it is difficult, time consuming, and expensive. I had more success using a local agency that could introduce me to many women over the course of a one or two week stay in a particular city. Many local agencies offer variations on the personal search theme, where they interview a lady, show her your photos and bio, and gauge her level of interest. I found this method to give the highest chance of meeting someone, and in fact, I did meet my lady this way. I must honestly say that after the trouble I had with my marriage it was nice to have multiple ladies interested in me. I wrote to some and some wrote to me first. I was kind of an ego thing to get e-mails from beautiful women. I guess part of the fun was the search and I know that my lady and me have discussed how we found each other in this big world. I have given up randomly writing to any pretty woman that catches my eye. Simply because of the vastness of FSU. Not to mention the difficulty with visas etc. They want to know where you are going and where you have been. A single city, a focussed letter writing campaign coupled with a good local agency is like;y to yield better results I think. It gives you a fighting chance. Simply writing to one lady is a very limiting way of doing this. I did that and it was a painful experience. I also reveled in the attention at the beginning. In fact the first lady I knew wrote to me first. I couldn't believe that somebody that attractive would be interested in me.
