There is no wrong and right in this, we all have different ways of approach, that also goes for the ladies. You should give her a chance, but at the same time it is important to be a little careful. NEVER send money, no matter how sweet she is, or how bad you must feel for her situation. Olegnay is right, exchange some letters and take one step at the time, not 100... Much easier to go just one step back if you have to correct anything, instead of 99...
Juxter, I'm interested to know how old you are and how old she is. I think that may have something to do with the fastness of your situation. Usually younger men and women want to get things going and don't have the wisdom or experiences (good or bad) to take things just a little slower.
NOR Thanks for your advice. Wizard Im 50 and she is 24, Im not looking for someone this age but I thought I would ask in case the same situation came up with an older girl. I must say everyone seems friendly on this forum!
Welcome, we have a good thread on the olderman younger woman thing. It would be worth reading. Plenty, and I mean plenty of women 35 and up that are beautiful intelligent and willing to make a huge committment in their life. I know this by personal experience.
Answer - You are 26 years older than her and she contacted you.
This particular scenario is standard. They know exactly who they are targeting. Older man, flattered by a young woman's attention.
"But you don't know that. This time it could be real".
Juxter common sense tells you I am saying the truth. Do yourself a favor and do not believe the guff that the websites put out about youngsters accepting older men. Overall it is not true.
Does it happen? Sure but the path is littered with failures. For myself and most others 15 years is the maximum and that is pushing it. Reality is that there are many, many women out there as Nas says that would be a much better bet.
I created a thread with all the standard cons. This has got a visa/ticket feel to it.
I would suggest writing to her and see how long it takes for her to fall in love with you. Should take about 5 or maybe 6 emails. If it is real my hat is off to you because you will be the first I have known.
izifaddag, I appreciate your advice, like I said before, I am not looking for someone of that age but you are right about the flattery bit, I think I have enough self discipline to resist even if it is genuine, I was thinking of someone no more than about 12 years younger. I dont want to reinvent the wheel, thats why I am on the forum, thanks for your guidance
