But if they misses the bus they suddenly say "Oh.. the bus drove away without me.." FOr some reason you can find the same phenomenon when it comes to relationships with men and women that comes from different countries... It is strange isn't it? Let's say a man from France find himself an American wife, then they call it INTERNATIONAL RELATIONSHIP, but if the same guy marries a FSU woman, they suddenly change the title to MAIL ORDER BRIDE... When they (mostly NZ women) say that my trips and motives are not what they class as "decent/normal/moral/it is seedy etc etc" I say "so going to the Pub - getting Pissed and hooking up with a girl that is partly or fully pissed also, and ending up in the sack on the 1st date - is OK" but "Spending months communicating and conversing together and getting to know each other very well - then committing to a huge financial commitment and journey - is seedy and not good dating practice” That shuts them up -- PRONTO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I met a Polish woman on date dot com some time ago. We wrote for a couple of months I flew to Poland we liked each other. She has a 10 year visa to visit the USA so she came here and stayed for a couple of weeks. I introduced her to my friends while she was here. All knew we met on date dot com. No problems and no negative comments from anyone. Obviously the relationship did not work out as planned and I am here:-) She ended up not really wanting to move because of her children when it came down to it and I didn't want to move to Poland because of my children. I am sorry to ramble by the way. So, eventually I found my way to this site and told some of these same friends that I am writing a wonderful woman from Ukraine and their attitudes where totally different. I was oh, "now you want a mail order bride". I let God, my heart and common sense dictate what I am going to do with my life. Not one of the three things I mentioned has to do with any person. So call them a "Mail Order Bride" and that leads to another mantra I follow in life, I won't be wronged, insulted or layed a hand on, I don't do these things to other people and I demand the same in return. I was deceived by FSU girls or scaammers or whatever and my losses were small and I quit that dating scene 9 months ago and I have a local fiancee now for 9 months and could not be happier. The FSU internet dating/MOB scene was not for me and an interesting and learning experience..for most men this does not work, hence the low 4% of men who were actaully do the personal visit and about three quarters of that fail to marry them. Its good money for the dating agencies and economies of the FSU. Good luck to those that do it and succeed...Id rather stick my money in a poker machine as I have a far better chance of getting a payout for my efforts!
